4 Blood TypesRBC’s do not “like” RBC’s with foreign marker

molecules (antigens) – this causes clumping and can lead to death due to antibodies aaginst

them!

4 Blood Types

People have blood types that can recognize others as harmful because of foreign marker molecules.

• A’s cannot recognize B’s and vice versa.

• AB’s recognize all types. Universal Receiver!!

• O’s can be accepted by any type, but don’t recognize any other type. Universal Donor!!
