The initial step for the marketing campaign was the release of the official film poster. The film had the same name as the book which made it easily recognizable for any fans or readers of the book. The poster doesn't give much away about the story line to the new audience apart from the hint of a love story.Film Posters

After the release of the official film poster a second poster was released with a featuring a release date and more of a focus on the film. The tag lines were comical and would appeal to a young target audience.Teaser Clip & Official trailer Before any trailers were released some behind the scene teaser clips were shown of the production team and makeup team with actors. Shortly after the official trailer was released and it revealed more about the character and an over all feel of the film

Second Trailer A second shorter trailer was released after the official which featured similar scenes to the original trailer but had more of the action and zombie theme featuring. This was done through fast paced montage shots.

New Poster Release 5 more posters were released after the trailers, each with their own comical tagline. This was another way to draw in the intended young target audience.

First 4 minuets & Film Scenes Instead of releasing a third trailer for the film, the first 4 minuets of the film were released online. This helped generate further hype for the film and the audience could get a feel of the comedic direction.The PremiereThe final step of the films marketing campaign were the various premieres that were done all over the world including Britain and Japan. American fans had the chance to win fee tickets and meet with the cast
