All during the day rumors have been coming in that the war with Japan is over~ and the bar , .. has been opened on several occasions due to these falso alarms. A riot squad has been
organized under "che eo mmand of Lt. Senior with twenty other ranks, vlho have been standing

notice. At about 9.00 in the evening word came in that the Liquor store in Truro was

damage was prevented. Our squad was the first to ,arrive on the scene, and forming a
semi-circle around the Liquor Store, and taking the sc.abards off their bayonets ce.used
