Mental Health First Aid is a virtual training to teach participants how to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. The evidence behind the program demonstrates that it helps trainees identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. UPCOMING DATES: July 23 • September 24 • November 19 9 a.m.-1 p.m. via Zoom; participants complete two hours of online coursework prior to virtual training session. WHO: Program is free and open to all UAB, UAB Medicine, VIVA and Homewood City School employees and members of their immediate household. REGISTRATION: Email [email protected] to register. Course is limited to 30 participants; registration deadline is the Friday before the Thursday sessions. Mental Health First Aid is a virtual training to teach participants how to help someone who is developing a mental health
