Combined Heat and Power

Businesses with year-round thermal and electric

requirements may be able to take advantage of

up to $2.5 million in financial incentives to install

a combined heat and power (CHP) system onsite.

CHP systems capture thermal energy for use

in space heating, cooling, domestic hot water,

dehumidification and process heating.

CHP systems can help:

• Improve operating efficiency.

• Cut energy costs.

• Reduce emissions.

Other benefits include improved power reliability,

better fuel use and energy security.

Building Tune-up

Diagnose energy efficiency problems in your

facility with our building tune-up. Then take

advantage of our financial incentives to make

relatively low-cost operations and maintenance

improvements to optimize your facility’s energy

performance. Our tune-up returns equipment to

its proper operating state, extends service life

and improves occupant comfort and air quality.

• Save up to 75% of the cost of tune-up services—up to $30,000 a project.

• Get typical energy savings from 5% to 15% without a significant capital investment.

• Receive quick payback in 1.5 years or less.

Building Operation Training

Operating a building at the highest level of

efficiency can be challenging. Our Building

Operation Training Program provides incentives

for building operators to enroll in training to help

them gain a comprehensive understanding of how

to optimize interdependent building systems—

heating, ventilation and air conditioning motors,

variable frequency drives, lighting and more.

• Get incentives to cover 80% of enrollment costs or up to a maximum of $1,000 in associated costs per certification, whichever is less.

• Choose courses related to equipment upgrades and replacements involving variable frequency drives, lighting retrofits, lighting controls and other energy-saving measures.
