The result is just as clear as it is impressive. When the feed per tooth of a tangential Walter BLAXX shoulder mill is compared with the performance data of a radial shoulder mill, a possible increase in feed rate of up to 30 % is found. The fact that such a feed rate is now possible is not least due to the exactly matched interplay between the new tangential Tiger·tec® Silver indexable inserts and the incredibly strong Walter BLAXX tool bodies.
Surprisingly versatile: Equipped with L85T geometries, Walter BLAXX can also make the most of its strengths in aluminium machining. And Walter BLAXX can do even more: The F5055 slitting cutter is a power pack that also scores points for maximum radial and axial runout accuracy.
Reliable processes, with powerful feed rateThe benefit of a tangential milling system is only fully effective under conditions where all parameters are perfectly matched together. Walter BLAXX has written a completely new chapter. As a result, not only is the most powerful of Walter tool bodies now available, but Tiger·tec® Silver indexable inserts can finally also be used as part of a tangential system.
Two new PVD-coated grades, WSM35S and WSP45S, have been introduced with Walter BLAXX for the first time. This means that the new milling system can be used on almost all materials.
