    Raheemah,

How dare you say that W.D. Fard was not a

Muslim. He brought Islam to the ignorant,

stinking Arabs whose egos told them to bury

their baby girls alive. He brought them inner &outer peace which has spread worldwide.

    -T. Muhammad

I was tryingto say that likeAbraham, and Jesus, W.D.Fard was not a part of anyorganized religion (Peace beupon them). If you say hewas a Muslim, one who sub-mits to G*Ds Will, then

you will have to say that Abraham and Jesus(pbut) were also Muslims because they, too, sub-mitted to G*Ds Will.

The scope of W.D. Fard may be realized in hiswritings, boxes of which were discovered a fewmonths ago in an old Chicago attic. It seems thathis 17 year old secretary who was the wife of theHonorable Elijah Muhammads younger brother,

Charles, had stored them there decades ago. Hisworks mustbe invaluable and sought after becauseD.Cs Smithsonian Institute has offered to pur-

chase them for a price from the family. Recently,Minister Louis Farrakhan has said that he hopesthe family will not give away their birthright for alittle mess, like someone in the Bible did (andlike we usually do.) Actually, just last month Dr.Khalil Gibran Muhammad, an Indiana Univ. ofhistory professor has been named new director ofHarlems Schomburg Center for Research in Black

Culture. He is the grandson of the HonorableElijah Muhammad & the son of Ozier Muham-mad, a N.Y. Times photographer. It is my prayerthat the documents will wind up at Schomburg inHarlem. # #

Please tell your reader that The Last Supper

was not painted by Michelangelo but by Raph-

    Sorry. We stand corrected.

    Editor,

Get your facts straight. Christopher Columbus

was not an Italian. Plus, his birth name was

    Cristobol Colon.

That is not what they taught me in school, but, thank you. Our further investigating shows that he

never used Christopher Columbus and he nevercame to America, but he did help to enslave peo-

    ple in the Caribbean.

How do you cure chapped feet? My feet

crack and bleed in the winter.

Find a pure moisturizer (with pure

ingredients, like no sodium lauryl sulfate).Moisturize your feet every night before bedand morning when you wake up. Soak yourfeet at least once a week. When you soakyour feet use items that are moisturizingand conditions (oatmeal, honey, avocado,Moringa), not astringent (salt, lavender oil,tea tree oil). In the winter you focus onmoisture and conditioning for the skin, andin the summer use products that draw outand purify. After soaking exfoliate using ascrub (walnut shells, sugar, pumice stone). This removes any dead skin from your feet.

While this should be a regular part ofyour routine, remember that drying outstarts from the inside. If your feet are dry, your insides are dry. Every part of the bodyis represented on the feet (reflexology). Areyou drinking enough water? Are you eatingfoods that are high in sodium or denaturedor dried out? Watch what you eat and youjust might be able to wear those sandalsnext summer!

What Your History Book Left Out.

    When Racism Masquerades

    as Something Else

Don't let the virulent ha-tred of Obama's presi-dency - veiled in "policydifferences" - fool you.

    'The nigger show."

I first heard this expres-sion used to describe theObama administrationduring a visit to myhometown in East Texas during the early summerof 2009. I understood what the epithet meant: Ourminds are made up, the president lacks legitimacy, and there is nothing he can do that we will support.I was not surprised to hear such a phrase.

I grew up in the 1960s during the ragged end ofthe Jim Crow era, where many of the books in myschool library were stamped Colored School, meaning they had been brought to the white schoolwhen the town was forced to integrate the publicschool system. I recall my parents had instructedme, before my first day of elementary school, notto sit in a chair where a black child had sat. And I

remember my sister joked that her yearbook, whenit appeared at the end of her first year of integratedhigh school, was in "black andwhite."

The outward signs of racism ofmy home state have now disap-

peared, but racial hatred remains. My father and his friends stilluse the word nigger to refer to all

black people, and the people of

my hometown don't hesitate tospout their racist rhetoric to myface, assuming I agree withthem. I hold my tongue for the sake of having con-tinued access to this kind of truth I learned longago how not to accept the hatred I was beingtaught and how to survive not having done so.

More recently, I realized that I also learned an-other lesson: how to recognize racism when itmasquerades as something else.

Jimmy Carter was lambasted for having recentlyexplained that the vehemence with which manyAmericans resist Obama's presidency is an expres-sion of racism. Carter was accused of fanning theflames of racial misunderstanding by labeling as"racist" what on the surface could be perceived aslegitimate policy differences.

The veiled racism I sense in the United States to-day is couched, in public discourse at least, interms that allow for plausible deniability of racistintent. And those who resist any policy initiativefrom the Obama administration engage in ascorched-earth policy that reminds me of the self-centered white flight, the abandonment of publicschools, and the proliferation of private schools, that followed the 1954 Brown v. Board of Educa-tion decision to desegregate public schools. Thevery people, like my own rural, working-classfamily back in East Texas, who stand to gain fromthe efforts of the Obama administration and theDemocratic Congress are, because of their racism, willing to oppose policies that would benefit themthe most. Their racism outweighs their own self-interest.

Unfortunately, racists in the United States havelearned one valuable lesson since the 1960s: They

cannot express their racism directly. In public, they must veil their racial hatred behind policy dif-

ferences. This obfuscation makes di-rect confrontation difficult. Anyone

pointing out their racist motivationsruns the risk of unfairly playing "therace card." But I know what membersof my family mean when they say -as so many said during the town hallmeetings in August - that they "wanttheir country back." They want it

back, safely, in the hands of someonelike them, a white person. They feelthat a black man has no right to be

    the president of their country.

Rather than seeing my home state and its racistattitudes, slowly, over time, pulled in the direction

of more acceptance, thecountry as a whole hasbecome more like theSouth, the racial or cul-tural equivalent of whatis called the Walmarti-zation of American re-tail.

    Letters from inside

Jesus did not follow the crowd. He led it. He did

not report the news. He made it happen. from

Jesus CEO by Laurie Beth Jones

    Good ..., Bad ...

    CHAPTER 2

My vegetarian meal was horrible today.Starting with breakfast. Not only was I supposedto start my fast today, but last nights foray into

the unknown was proving to be a roller coasterride of intestinal proportions. Since I got here, Ihavent eaten a full mealtrading off what I did-

nt want (i.e. the kool-aid packs) at every meal. Iuse the kool-aid packs as a good will ambassadors;I hear someone wants one, I just hit them with itand keep it moving. My cellmate, cellie for short, always hounds me for my kool-aid packs and I cansee him grate his teeth when I give them away. Inmy mind it is better to spread it around. He getsplenty and he gives plenty so I dont see him lack-

ing.4AM much to his dismay (he was sleep,

remember its 4AM) my cellie had a 20 minute pill

call (to receive his medication). I used the opportu-nity for privacy to use the toilet. Once he realized Iwas on the toilet as a courtesy he stood outsidechecking in every ten minutes or so. He stoodswinging the door to air out the room faster. Tenminutes later I was back at it. Please use toilet

paper, he said, and dont turn on the water. The

sound of the water gushing out of the faucet wasloud. I can use it, but Im still using water, I said

with a chuckle. We have different customs and

standards. Thats all good but I am living up tomine.I got milk and cereal for breakfast later this

morning. I havent had a drink of milk since I was

13 or 14, when I figured out that it didnt do my

body good at all. It caused mucus to build up inmy body leading to ear infections that hurt so

badly in my youth I thought I would die. Certainblood types tolerate it very well but thats not me I

have learned through experience. I am working torefrain from processed cereals as well. I gave themilk/cereal to my cellmate and he was ecstatic. Ittotally wiped away any disgruntled feelings he wasfeeling as for the next hour he said, milk over

and over in a low guttural voice. He had not hadany in the 20 days that he was here. You will becontrolled by your addictions; I remember mygrandmother saying when I was a child and thewisdom still rang true. Through conversation andsilence every few minutes for the rest of the dayyou would hear out of the blue, milk, exclaimed.

I didnt know such a small gesture would bring

such joy, it was worth it. He offered a piece ofhoney bun, which was goodI knew I would payfor it later. I enjoyed the honey bun with a jelly

and butter sandwich. Sometimes you just have tosay al humdulilah and do what you can until youcan do better.

By lunch I went to take a shower, my cell-mate turned into the police claiming the smell wasunbearable. Possible with what I had been eatingthat night. We both felt a change in the tempera-ture in the room. Only the temperature hadnt

changed since I got there. So it had to be what wewere eating, the 2400 mg of sodium in the noodles

that was made into the spread. The sodium wascausing my body to work overtime to excrete thetoxin out of me. Causing a noticeable raise in tem-

perature. Add to that the drying effects of chlorineadded to the water. It really turned up the heat forme. Try lowering your salt and sugar intake andwatch the sun do wonderful things for you. DilbertBlair said the sun is not hot. I challenge you to in-nerstand that until you get it.

My cellmate just admitted that he put porkrinds in the spread. Friday. 2nd week. He said it

laughing. That is a huge violation. I know, ohok. We did talk about it before hand. If you want

to put pork in it youre welcome to it I just wont

eat it. I dont eat pork. He said, you wont

even taste it. I let him know, that may well be,

but its not something I want in my body. His re-

tort was, ok, ok I am not going to put any pork in

there. I guess I should have gotten it when he said

he was kin to Jessie James. He also asked me if Iwas a government informant. No, I said right

away and I told him I thought he was and he saidhe was like he was joking. I let it go. Getting madserved no purpose. I let the blame rest with me fortrusting him in the first place or even eating thehigh in sodium spread. Grandma told me to takelemons and make the lemonade. I took it as a goodcleanse and warning to stay on point and not get

caught slipping. There was danger at every turn.Later, a nurse insisting on breaking my

skin for a TB test that turns up negative the nextday. When I refused I was threatened with isola-tion in a room where you breathe in recycled air.

    Marriage- What is Your Role?

    By Sister Nissa Muhammad

The husband is the head of the family. Thewife is the heart. The wifes role includes being a

comforter for the man, putting his body and mind

at ease. His home should be his paradise on earth, feeling good about her appearance, their home andher attitude. The Black man needs a consoler be-cause of his experiences, among other things, withrejection, deceit, and racism everyday. However, the woman should also have a degree of independ-ence and her free time with G*D.

But, what do you need a help mate for,

if you are not doing anything with your family andin the community? A man does not need a helpmate if his not doing anything. Remember, when

you please your spouse, you are pleasing G*D.But remember also, that the male ego hates to

lose. The Black man tries to be a winner on allcounts which often leads to fights. Then, somemen must be challenged to do better, but notwhile you have your hands on your hips, or whileyou are doing the neck jerk. Appeal to the win-

ning side of him . Re-do his resume, pick up ap-plications for jobs, and tell him, You can do it.

So-called Black women have a problem

because they have been reared for work, and forbeing a strong Black woman, a successful stu-

dent. The Caucasian American girls motto on

campus is, Get the ring before spring. The me-

leanated students conversation is about careers,

jobs, and traveling, whatever will bring her ap-

plauds. On the job we learn to manage, adminis-

trate, & coordinate. These skills do not work

well on a husband. Of course, women can choose

to abandon the race and marry into the Caucasianrace like Serena Williams who feels that the meli-

nated man has too many hang ups. The Honorable

Elijah Muhammad said that a piece of a man is

better than no man at all. Why is that? Think

    about it.

    Violent Video Game Guru

I met Randy after Jummah (Friday prayer). Id

seen him many times, but never knew who he was.He was a slim brother whousually wore a black wavecap, glasses, and baggy

jeans. His demeanor hum-ble and respectful. Hisbusiness card landed in myhand, and when I enquiredabout whose it was, a lady

pointed him out of a crowdof brothers. I sat patiently

by the doorway and as soonas he approached the door I seized the opportunityfor clarification.

    Are youRandy?

    Yes, maam, Im Randy.

    This is your card?

    Yes.

    You study video games?

Yes, he pulled out a notebook filled with

scripted inky letters, I analyze video games fortheir level of violence.

    How do you do that?

There are these codes you get from movies etc,

and I crack the codes. I study the names and char-acterizations. Randy is extremely passionate

about his work. As he described the key strokesand movements they produced, it was as if wed

embarked on a journey. He rattled off names like,

Assasins Creed Brotherhood, Hit Man andPunisher. So basically, he continued when par-

ents purchase video games for their children, ifthey want to know how violent they are, they bringthem to me first and I tell them all about it. Ithought about my 12 year old brother and all hisvideo games. Id sure like to know how appropri-

ate they are. Im sure my parents would want to

know. Better yet, I bet my brother would like toknow some of those codes. Randy is a video gametester who gives feedback to companies, parents

and gamers. I get real busy during the holidaysand June.

You can contact Randy for codes, or intel on thelatest games.
