Walking Together... As an AZA accredited zoo we know that wildlife conservation requires conservation of natural resources. We believe conservation is the active stewardship of the natural environment including wildlife, plants, and energy as well as other natural resources.
Partnering with the Regional Recycling District and the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ), we oer opportunities to teach others how they can participate in their community to help conserve the natural environment and improve their quality of life.
You too can take action to conserve natural resources with some very simple practices. Use this brochure and go on our Sustainability Safari to learn how.

Natural ResourcesIt is important to protect and renew our natural resources in order to meet our current needs to live without risking the ability of future generations to survive.
At the Little Rock Zoo we strive to protect our natural resources in many ways. We recycle many everyday items, compost, and even grow some of the food we feed our animals. We partner with many organizations both locally and globally to help raise funds, protect our resources and educate about conservation. Please join us in our eorts to preserve and renew our natural resources. For further information, please contact the Little Rock Zoo Education Department at 501-661-7229.
