CCC Prayer Requests

Please pray that many in our city will experience the light of Jesus Christ, becoming genuine

Christ-followers.

Lori Shipley - Recently experienced a stroke. Please pray for a full recovery and healing.

Wayne Whitbourne— Who is Valerie Weatherly’s

brother, and CCC supported missionary. He has been diagnosed with prostate cancer

and will go for surgery on August 15 in Calgary. Pray that there will be a cancellation and he will get

surgery sooner. Also pray for healing and for his family.

Selim Henein - He just had his surgery last week and it went well. Pray for a quick recovery and no

complications.

We're off to Kootenay Plains for our 8th annual Summer Ignite! On this trip, we'll be hiking, exploring, climbing

waterfalls and playing midnight games of Mission

Impossible! We'll be cooking over the open fire and staying

Cathy Steeves (visually impaired member of our church) needs assistance with a small painting project at her house. It should only take an hour or so. If you would be willing to help out, please

God intervened in a troubled young man's life a number of months ago. With nowhere to turn, God brought Peter across James's path and he found forgiveness and a new life in Christ. As their friendship grew and Peter began attending church with James's family, his words

were, "I don't know why I didn't do this sooner...the church is amazing!" Peter has now moved to another province with his family. He is currently back in school and is still holding on tightly to his new found faith. Please pray for him--he’s finding it difficult to make friends because the majority of kids his age are living his old lifestyle, partying and getting into trou-

ble. He’s been struggling with health problems since the day I met him which on some days totally debilitates him. There is a youth group he is going to be looking into and hopefully, he can get connected into a church for support.

Please also pray for James and Grace and their youth missionary work here in Edmonton. They are in need of new supporters. To find out more
