Welsh monuments

Caernarfon Castle (Welsh: Castell Caernarfon) is a medieval fortress in Caernarfon, Gwynedd, north-west Wales cared for by Cadw, the Welsh Government's historic environment service. There was a motte-and-bailey castle in the town ofCaernarfon from the late 11th century until 1283 when King Edward I of England began replacing it with the current stone structure. The Edwardian town and castle acted as the administrative centre of north Wales and as a result the defences were built on a grand scale. There was a deliberate link with Caernarfon's Roman past – nearby is the Roman fort ofSegontium – and the castle's walls are reminiscent of the Walls of Constantinople.

Snowdon (Welsh: Yr Wyddfa,)is the highest mountain in Wales, at an altitude of 1,085 metres (3,560 ft) above sea level, and the highest point in the British Isles outside the Scottish Highlands. It is located in Snowdonia National Park (Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri) in Gwynedd, and has been described as "probably the busiest mountain in Britain".  It is designated as a national nature reserve for its rare flora and fauna.

St Davids Cathedral (Welsh: Eglwys Gadeiriol Tyddewi), is situated in St Davids in the county of Pembrokeshire, on the most westerly point of Wales.

National Anthem of

WalesHen Wlad Fy Nhadau

Mae hen wlad fy nhadau yn annwyl i mi, Gwlad beirdd a chantorion, enwogion o fri;

Ei gwrol ryfelwyr, gwladgarwyr tra mad,Tros ryddid collasant eu gwaed

Gwlad, gwlad, pleidiol wyf i'm gwlad. Tra môr yn fur i'r bur hoff bau, O bydded i'r hen iaith

barhau

Hen Gymru fynyddig, paradwys y bardd,Pob dyffryn, pob clogwyn i'm golwg sydd

hardd;Trwy deimlad gwladgarol, mor swynol yw si

Ei nentydd, afonydd, i mi.

Os treisiodd y gelyn fy ngwlad tan ei droed,Mae hen iaith y Cymry mor fyw ag erioed.Ni luddiwyd yr awen gan erchyll law brad,

Na thelyn berseiniol fy ngwlad.

Pradawny kraj moich pradziadów

Drogi mi jest prastary kraj ojców, Ziemia poetów i śpiewaków, ludzi sławnych; Jej dzielni wojownicy, bardzo dumni

patrioci, Za wolność przelali swą krew.

Narodzie, Narodzie, Tobie jestem wierny.

rzek.

Nawet, jeśli wróg zdepcze moją ziemię, Stary język Walijczyków będzie tak

żywy, jak zawsze. Ukryta ręka zdrady nie zagraża muzie, Ani dźwięcznej

harfie mojego kraju.
