Tamarind Global successfully organised the Credai Natcon Event from 13th-15th August 2015 at the Hilton Bomonti, Istanbul,
Turkey. There were about 950 pax who had attended the conference from India. The entire event was managed by
Tamarind Global, from logistics and hotel coordination to event execution and planning. The 3 day event showcased renowned speakers like Mr. Arun Shorie and celebrity speakers like Boman
Irani. Tamarind also concieved and executed the Gala Night at the fabulous Ciragan Palace on the banks of the Bosphorus.
Ras al-Khaimah is a member of the United Arab Emirates. Its name could be taken to mean "Top of the tent" or alterna�vely "headland of the small hut". The emirate is in the northern part of the UAE, bordering Oman's exclave of Musandam. Tata group exits Taj Palace Hotel, DubaiTaj Hotels Resorts and Palaces, part of the Tata group, said last week that it has exited the management of Taj Palace Hotel, Dubai, a�er 14 years of opera�ons. Located at Deira, it was opera�ng the hotel since 2001 and it was handed back to its owner - Juma Al Majid Group, on August 31 2015, the hospitality major said in a statement.
Kamat Hotels to expand their Orchid Hotel-brand across India through management partnershipsKamat Hotels India Ltd (KHIL) is looking to expand their ecotel hotel brand, The Orchid Hotel, across the country, especially in Tier-II and III ci�es, through management route. Currently, The Orchid Hotel is opera�onal in Mumbai (flagship property) and Pune, a release stated. “We are looking for a strategic and controlled growth for our flagship brand, The Orchid. The expansion will be purely through management contracts. Kamat Hotels has an exper�se in running hotels, we want to u�lise that exper�se and expand in the market. We shall try to manage both green and white field projects,” said Vishal Kamat, CEO, KHIL.
Carlson Rezidor signs 3 new hotels in IndiaCarlson Rezidor has ramped up its expansion in India with the signing of three new contracts for hotels in the north, south and west of the country. Carlson Rezidor now has 71 hotels in opera�on and 41 under development, across 45 Indian ci�es, including 14 state capitals. Radisson Blu Kochi Elamkulam is Carlson Rezidor's first hotel in Kerala in Ernakulam. The 150-key conversion is located in the southern state's largest city of Kochi. Radisson Resort Mahabaleshwar is a 158-key new build hotel in Mahabaleshwar. Radisson Gurgaon Sohna Road is yet another addi�on to Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group strong por�olio of 22 opera�onal hotels in Delhi NCR. Located in Gurgaon, which is home to a diverse mix of domes�c and interna�onal companies including 250 Fortune 500 companies, this 119-key, new build hotel will cater to the MICE and wedding segments.

Air-China to launch direct flight on Mumbai – Beijing – Mumbai, from OctoberAir China, China's Na�onal Air Carrier will launch direct Interna�onal flight from Mumbai, India to Beijing, China with effect from October25, 2015. The strategic move of Air China is a step to strengthen its exis�ng route network in India. Air China introduced Airbus A330-300 to its service to Mumbai. There has been significant increase in people traveling to China from Mumbai in last couple of years. Air China is extremely interested to have their network reach expanded to Mumbai, an important des�na�on in India. With the launch of this new route Air China is very confident about new business rela�ons in India and strengthening of economical as well as poli�cal rela�ons of both the na�ons.
Air-India offers 25kg free check-in baggage for domes�c flightsState-owned airline Air India Ltd has announced that passengers travelling on economy class on its domes�c flights will now get an enhanced free check-in baggage allowance of 25kg. That's 10kg more than any other airline allows. There is more in store. Infants will also get a free baggage allowance of 10kg. This offer is valid only from August 12 to February 7. The December quarter is considered the peak season for domes�c airlines because of fes�vals and holidays falling in the period.

Qatar Airways to reinforce Doha-Nagpur serviceQatar Airways will re-launch its non-stop flights to Nagpur from Doha star�ng 1 December 2015. The re-instated service will be daily on an A320 with an average flight �me of just over four hours. The carrier had previously served Nagpur from January 2008 to May 2009. The flight QR 588 will depart Doha at 19:55 hrs and arrive in Nagpur at 02:15+1. The Nagpur-Doha sector QR 589 will depart at 03:45 hrs and arrive in Doha at 05:55 hrs. The aircra� will have 144 seats in a two-class configura�on of 12 seats in business class and 132 seats in economy. , Dehradun and Dharamshala flights will be operated by SpiceJet's Bombardier Q400 aircra�, while the Bengaluru route will use a Boeing 737.
GLOBAL CUISINE
INGREDIENTS300g good-quality dark chocolate, roughly chopped 3 eggs 1/4 cup (55g) caster sugar 1 tablespoon good-quality cocoa powder, si�ed 300ml thickened cream, plus extra whipped cream to serve Grated chocolate, to serve
Place the chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pan of gently simmering water (don't let the bowl touch the water). S�r un�l melted. Remove bowl from heat and set aside to cool slightly.
Place eggs and sugar in a large bowl and beat with electric beaters for 5 minutes, or un�l mixture is pale, thick and doubled in volume. Fold in cooled chocolate and cocoa powder un�l combined.
In a separate bowl, whip cream un�l thickened (be careful not to over-beat). Use a large metal spoon to carefully fold the cream into the chocolate mixture, trying to keep the mixture as light as possible. Spoon into 6 serving glasses and chill in fridge for at least 1 hour. Remove from fridge 15 minutes before serving, then top with extra whipped cream and grated chocolate to serve.

Tourist arrivals with E-visa jumps 10 �mesCon�nuing the growth trajectory, tourist arrivals in India under the e-Tourist Visa facility have witnessed a 10-fold increase between January and June 2015 compared with the same period last year. The Indian government rolled out the E-visa programme for ci�zens of 43 countries on November 27 last year, and then to a further 33 na�onali�es in April this year. This has led to a spike in the number of e-visa arrivals to India, with 126,214 tourists registering for the online entry system in the first half of 2015, compared with just 11,953 during January-June 2014, showing a growth of 955.9 per cent.
UK on India's E-visa system from 15th AugustThe UK is among 36 new countries to be added to India's electronic visa system from Independence Day, taking the number of na�ons on the list to 113. The e-visa route will allow Bri�sh na�onals flying to India for tourism and recrea�onal purposes to apply and pay for their visa online and carry a printout as proof. "With this addi�on, the total count of countries under the scheme will go up to 113. Simultaneously, we are going to add seven more Indian airports as designated airports for entry on e-Tourist Visa from 15th August 2015," an Indian government statement said.

Oktoberfest is the world's largest beer fes�val and travelling funfair. Held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, it is a 16-day folk fes�val with more than 6 million people from around the world a�ending the event every year. Locally, it is o�en simply called Wiesn, a�er the colloquial name of the fairgrounds (Theresienwiese) themselves. The Oktoberfest is an important part of Bavarian culture, having been held since 1810. Other ci�es across the world also hold Oktoberfest celebra�ons, modeled a�er the original Munich event. The fes�val kicks off with a parade on the first day. Tradi�on has it, that the parade is headed by the Münchner Kindl, the Munich city mascot, followed by the horse cart with the mayor of Munich. The spectacular eleven day Ganesh Chaturthi fes�val honors the birth of the beloved Hindu elephant-headed god, Lord Ganesha. The start of the fes�val sees huge, elaborately cra�ed statutes of Ganesha installed in homes and podiums, which have been especially constructed and beau�fully decorated. At the end of the fes�val, the statutes are paraded through the streets, accompanied by much singing and dancing, and then submerged in the ocean.
