In QMDJ, there are certain signs from our surroundings that we can obtain to determine the validity of the forecast from the combination (i.e. stems, gate, deities, etc) in a certain direction.

For example, it is said that when one uses the Open Door on top of the Rest Door(natal position) if one would walk towards the north for at least 10 kilo metres, then there will be an encounter with a four-legged animal in struggle and then a woman in black dress.

This is perhaps (i think) one of the most awesome thing in QMDJ is we get to check if we are on the right track. But the problem is i've never tried to check those sign out.

So i'm wondering if any experienced QMDJ'er have successfully used the signs tomatch their readings? (i'm sure the universe's sign are applicable to many otherchinese metaphysic tools as well, if one is proficient enough to read it, but it's just that i'm more curious with its association to QMDJ since (i believe) ithas more intrinsic association to QMDJ than other tools.)

Is this based on QMDJ hourly charts? If yes, then you need to maintain a speedof 5 km/hour, which is normal speed if you're moderately healthy and fit, but you need to start the walk right when the shi-chen starts, and maintain that speedfor 2 hours. Better still, raise the average speed a bit, so that you don't come into the borderline with the next shi-chen and lose the expected signs.

Not only is QMDJ asssociated to Wai Ying or external signs, but I think Mei Hua is even more so. There are oral transmissions that our ancestors wrote on Mei Hua (Plum Blossom) and external signs, in which case no single hexagram needs to be raised to answer a question

That's interesting. I actually thought of just driving out to 10km to see if i can bump into those signs lol.. May i know if the suggestion on the 5km/ hour isbased on your personal experience after witnessing such signs? Could you recommend any books that delve into the subject of external signs whether in mei hua orqmdj?

    What about daily chartS?

    Thanks

Okay, so it's based on the hourly charts.

Sure, driving is more practical, but sometimes it's more difficult to maintain the same direction of movement for 10 km, especially in cities. The direction does not have to be a straight line, because a sector or direction has a range of 45o. This may seem like a wide range, but in cities, very often it's difficult to avoid falling out of the right sector.

As for the 5 km/hour, it's just based on the average normal speed of walking fora moderately healthy and fit person.

I will let you know later the name of Chinese literature or link for external signs.

I guess GPS will prove useful in this situation. I look forward to hear from your sources of external signs in qmdj or meihua. Thank you.

This one, in mainland Chinese script, is intended for Mei Hua: . If you sd in the net, it should not be too hard to find the ones for QMDJ too.

    Hi all,

Not all QMDJ system uses Wai Ying. At least the system that I used, don't need to do so. We just make it happen by choosing a good date/time and action.

Hi @calvinyap and may i know which qmdj system are you using?Wai Ying observation is one of the most useful sign in QMDJ as it helps to confirm the avtivation of formation and is especially even more so in san yuan qmdj feng shui

Sorry that it sounds cynical. Everybody knows that in ancient time Qi Men Dun Jia is used for warfare. As such, I can't imagine when you standby a few thousandstroop and then wait for a monk that carry umbrella to appear or a yellow bird to fly by before going for warfare...

So, there is San Yuan QMDJ Fengshui. Is there San He QMDJ Fengshui?

    Hi calvinyap,

I am a beginner to QMDJ. Can you give links to your website or blog that contains QMDJ articles?

Hi Tiantong, if you mouse over the globe icon in the profile, then you can see his website.

You can read my satire on the various schools of the Hour school Qi Men Dun Jia. I have left out the 64 Hexagrams, Day, Month and Year schools for brevity. Inaddition, I have wrote about the various applications of various variants of QiMen Dun Jia if you track my posts.

Basically after the 1949 communist victory, Mao did a clean job in exterminatingmetaphysics blokes under the slogan of removing feudal superstition. Zhi Lun Qi Men and Si Hua were totally wiped out in Mainland China. Hence the Zhi Lun school of Qi Men and Si Hua Zi Wei flourish in Taiwan (some say Hong Kong too) andtill today, it is difficult to find people even in Singapore who understand ZhiLun method of determining the Ju.

Interestingly by reading the various articles of contemporary masters, you can easily detect the various masters that they studied, the books they read or the articles they support.

Actually Wai Ying: it the same with some other arts: when you're in synch then the world seems to resonate back. When QMDJ work well done and activated then yousee signs surging up.

Hi,First of all, I am still learning QMDJ so still a lot that I dont know about

and need to discuss with this forum member who got experienced and knowledge inQMDJ. As I noticed there is a lot version in QMDJ (Chai Bu and Zhi Run) with ro

tating and flying method. So with the different kind of method, then how can weknow that our chart is a correct one?? because without the correct chart obviously we cannot utilize QMDJ?? Can someone guide or enlighten me ?? thanks for thehelp

    Sir,

You have chanced upon bits of the truth, let me help you arrange them with the 3basic variants of Qi Men Dun Jia from the Zhi Runintercalation/imperial factionwith 3 screen captures. That gives me 3 charts. Now if I switch to Chai Bu, th

en I get another 3 charts. So in total, I must read 6 charts. I may read the other 5 for fun, I usual pick one to verify a few points or claims.

Since Qi Men Dun Jia is about warfare based on the latest literature up north, by the time I complete reading the 6 charts, my enemies would have given me a good knock on the head, hmmh, not very efficient.

    Now for some side distraction.

Zhi Run faction: We are the Imperial and Traditionalist in determining the Ju.

Chai Bu faction: Well, we do not understand intercalary, so it must be too complex, so it must be wrong, we must be correct, why because late Master Zhang Zhichun said so in one of his books.

Flying Palace faction: Well, they are both wrong if they do not use our method of plotting the chart.

Rotating Palace faction: Ah, there must be a reason why so many guys use rotating method.

This is no different from Bazi or Zi Wei. There are many factions with many ideas.

The famed politician and military strategist Zhuge Liang is often linked with this art form.

On a serious note, please learn Bazi and Zi Wei. It will give you a firm foundation and nudge you to accept what you cannot change.

Then after a while, you can learn Qi Men Dun Jia. It may help you to smoothen what you cannot accept.

The idea is, you cannot choose your parents, but you can select your friends andfield of study and adopt Google's 'Do Less Evil'.

If you jump into Qi Men Dun Jia, you probably spend more time grabbing empty airor be utterly confused by 6 charts. Worse you will tricked into thinking you can buy 4D using Qi Men without giving a hoot to your Zi Wei or Bazi chart.

Lucky Guy: I am rich, I will strike 4D with Qi Men Dun Jia.

Lucky Guy's ancestors: Alamak, somebody ought to tell him 5 Arts teach people about life to help them understand life or smoothen their path and he is simply drawing on his merits like an overdraft.

Late Master Liu Bowen: I should be born in this era, then I will be a SingaporeTurf Club VIP instead of running away from despot Zhu Yuanzhang!

Thx for your quick response zwdsflying. Your story telling method quite fun andI also liked to visit your blog spot at brotherkeong. You indeed have a lot of knowledge in CM. I am just a new learner in CM so still need a lot of guidance an

d advice. By the way can you recommend me a good zwds books or material to startfirst??thx in advance

I must support my fellow Singaporean, Mr Rick Lim who has published 3 good booksin Zi Wei Duo Shu, English text. You can google his blog using "As Above So Below " as the keyword.

Here are some reviews. Read the books in the correct order for best effect.

In your long journey, you probably run into a few types of CM personalities. MrLim belongs to type 1. You can read the types in the link that I posted recently.

QuoteFinally how the 3 Laws of Thermodynamics may apply to Qi Men

Qi Men Dun Jia obeys 3 laws, similar to the 3 Laws of Bazi/Zi Wei, plagiarized from Thermodynamics.

Luck is generally conserved.I always read with amusement that some lucky chaps may tell you after applying Qi Men Dun Jia, they strike a wind fall, but if you analyse their chart and family background, it becomes plainly evident that the rich chap is already lucky orrich (yes, you have to listen to their brags about how they spend their wealth)and would have a windfall unless he shoots himself in his own foot. So now thechap thinks he owes it to Qi Men Dun Jia and well, a lucky chap who learns Qi Men Dun Jia is only a lucky chap who knows some Qi Men Dun Jia. Now if Qi Men DunJia is really so great in lottery or windfall, then perhaps Singapore Pools should ban Qi Men Dun Jia masters. So never skip your Bazi or Zi Wei chart and betaken for a ride.

Law of usually getting bad charts

You always get more bad charts with time or it is harder to get a good chart buteasier to get a er..... dodgy chart or simply it is hard to get a good chart. Now there are more bad formations in Qi Men Dun Jia than good formations, so itis a matter of time that you end up with more bad charts or are forced to work with lesser charts, so its a matter of experience or ingenuity to use the bad charts.

Is there a perfect setup? There is no perfect Qi Men chartThis is self evident as there is no such thing as a perfect Bazi or Zi Wei chart.

thx for your advice zwdsflying, I already purchase Y.M.Lim Book 1 (3 months ago)

, however due to my lack of knowledge and talent in CM, it seems still hard forme to learn ZWDS although the book provided a lot of information(of course in tiny font. hehehe).

Back to QMDJ, how about evidential occurence or phenomenon in QMDJ?if we don't see the phenomenon can we still proceed to grisp a good outcome using QMDJ chart?? such as: we expect to see a lady in the red dress, what will happen if we missthe chance to see the phenomenon, maybe the lady in the red dress are driving the car("not walking") already passing our spot??

Moreover about the divination system in QMDJ, We always see QMDJ Fu Yin Chart, and we know that QMDJ chart always change remarkably in 2 hours, if we already expected a good chart by plotting the chart before we ask a practitioner to forecast our "outcome" in the good chart then it seems we can have a good result("cheating method"),so what results will happen if we use a bad chart or Fu Yin to predict the same event??
