Hi Hoggies,Whoa what a past couple of months it’s been; lots of great HOG things to do with great HOG people! In September Lady K & I attended the QLD State Rally in Brisbane. After a few days touring the back roads of northern NSW we arrived at the rally. It was a great venue at Eagle farm race course. 700 odd attended and enjoyed top food and entertainment, notably two young guys (11 & 14 yrs) who played the blues like professional musos. The Thunder Ride on Sunday was well supported in the northern seaside suburbs along the route after Brisbane Chapter did a letter drop. It was great to see people lining the road and enjoying the spectacle. All too soon it was time to head south again, staying at small places along the coast. No sooner were we home then it was off to Canberra for the National Rally. 1200 attended with about 130 walk-ins over the weekend.
Aussie rock legend Richard Clapton was a highlight on Friday night. Again it was great to catch up with HOG friends from far and wide. The Thunder Ride was HUGE!! Bikes as far as you could see and again the marshalling was excellent along with some timely help from the local law enforcers!The Christmas party will soon be upon us so get your name and monies in to Jen Williams as soon as possible please! It will be a day of bike fun with the Toy run in the morning and Chrissy party that night! The H-D 110th Anniversary now has a date and venue. 12th to 14th April at Williamtown Victoria. Start planning now because places will fi ll quickly and it will be here before you know it. As this is the last Hogger for the year on behalf of Katie and myself we wish you a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year. Ride safe and I hope to see you on a ride soon.ROCKET xoxo

Hello Hoggies,Our rides have begun and numbers have been good, the National Rally in Canberra where we had 21 members attend. It was a great rally and full marks must go to the Canberra Chapter, great entertainment, good rides and even organized good weather.Our last Saturday ride was to Phil’s Garage where we presented our 2012 Chapter Photo, we thanked Phil and Leanne for their on going support.Spider, I and Jen Williams have mapped out the ride calendar until August 2013. So get your rear into gear, check the website www.waggahog.org.au and RIDE!! There is a ride to suit everyone so no excuses. Make sure your bike is mechanically ready and fueled up for a run. No bald tyres. Arrive well before the posted leaving time to hear any last minute change of directions from the Road Captain. Never ever pass the Road Captain, he/she has been given the responsibility to lead the group. Stay in the same lane as the Road captain, riding in a staggered formation where appropriate ~ never side by side. On winding roads corner as you would normally, allowing plenty of room for other riders. Keep to the road speed limits ~ regularly checking the person behind you is in view. Always signal your intention to change lanes, keep a safe distance behind the rider in front. Remember safety is your responsibility i.e.: correct safety gear and clothing DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE and remember WE CARE ABOUT YOU.

Hi there fellow Hoggie travellers,Well another year has come and almost gone. True to form, life has seen its fair share of triumphs and challenges for us all. It is great to know that during good times and bad there are Hoggie mates on hand to celebrate with or to lend a hand or shoulder in support.It was fun to fi nally get to a HOG Rally after so long. I have come to the conclusion though that for me, camping on site is the way to go. I really like the feeling of being close to the action. So Geoff, dust the trailer off, check the blow-up mattress and get us ready for hitting the road in 2013.Speaking of 2013 I wonder if anyone else is contemplating New Year’s Resolutions. I will tell you mine, which was inspired by a colleague at work. Each day I am going to do or think about something as if I am a 10 year old. I want to feel the sheer delight and wonder that comes with the spontaneity and youthful exuberance of that age. So if you see me with a big grin you will all know what I have been up to.Great times are acomin’ x Glenda
