Our School Context
Wagaman Primary is a small suburban school with an enrolment of approximately 300 students. Our
community has 60% of its families who have a background other than English including 26% who
identify as being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background. A celebration of this diversity is
part of the rich, positive culture in the school. Wellbeing as a foundation for successful learning is
promoted through our approach using Tribes and KidsMatter

School Priorities for 2016: Drive quality improvement across early childhood education and care programs to enhance the learning outcomes for all Territory children from birth to eight years.
