The Urban Water ShuttleZero emission high-speed vessel
The Urban Water Shuttle (UWS) is an energy-efficient, high-
speed vessel concept for passenger transport. The vessel will be
propelled using the latest zero emission technology. This project
is about shaping a new international industry within passenger
transport and other related markets.

▪ Transfer of 2,5 MW power for a single system. Parallel systems or larger plates
with higher ratings
▪ Increase time for energy transfer by fast connection and late disconnection.100%
utilisation of avialable docking time. Can be connected and maintain charging in all
normal operational tolerances due to movement or waves.
▪ Improved safety during operation as no mechanical connection is established.No
need for any additional measures to connect, charge or disconnect as the system

Hvordan skal lykkes med innovasjon i det offentlige Norge
• Fjerne barrierer i lovverket – Arbeide for nødvendige unntak i forhold til EØS/ESA regelverk
– Virkemiddelapparatet må kunne gi garantier for pilotering uavhengig av konsesjonsregler
• Få en helhetlig plan for hvilke mål en skal oppnå innen maritim transport– I Norge for å ha en forutsigbarhet for hele industrien
– I EU for å få til intermodale transportsystem med felles regelverk
• Hvis vi vil ha nye innovasjoner må vi legge til rette for dette– Nye innovasjoner skal benyttes i nye tildelinger iht visse kriterier
– Finansieringsgraden fra virkemiddelapparatet må være tilstrekkelig stor for at aktører skal ta risiko med nye innovasjoner
– Virkemidelapparatet må ha samme målsettinger
