Menu for Dinner with the Past! Introductions and overview of the party expectations Social: (20-25 min.) This is where you will mingle with other historical figures of the time. You will be having small conversations about the following: A. Introduction of who you are B. What you are MOST know and WHY C. How what you are known for has impacted the Gilded/Progressive era (1870-1920). Dinner with others :(30-45 min.) This is where you will be presenting your portfolio to your peers at your dinner table. Presenter : You will be responsible for sharing your portfolio from cover to cover. Really explaining and identifying who your historical figure was (Self-Profile), what they did (Resume), what they accomplished (Best Work), and of course how they will be remembered by future generations (Obituary). Guests: You will be responsible for taking notes on the historical figure with your notebooks. Be sure to ask questions if you need clarifying and if you discover that your historical figure may have known the presenter’s figure. Social with an individual of your choice(20 min) This is where you will get to talk and mingle with historical from another table of your choice and whom you have yet to meet and greet(Has to be not a real friend, but your historical friend or foe.) You will be responsible for sharing information about this person to the rest of the class through a quick mini-whole class presentation.
