WAADDESIGNS INTERNSHIP SUMMERY For interns of the year of 2019 it

will be very special as

WAADdesigns is moving into

their new

headquarters/showroom.

The headquarters will include a

private by appointment only

showroom, main design office,

stock rooms, photography studio

and much more. They will enjoy

the move-in process as well as

plan the launch event, shoot

campaign amongst other

exciting upcoming projects.

Interning at WAADdesigns will

allow them a great space to

create and see their creations be

part of the brand.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

WORKING HOURS:

We are open Saturday-Thursday, 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM, interns are welcome to do 4-6 hours of

work with us, at the comfort of their school schedule but will have to be pre-approved by the

designer to benefit booth parties. A minimum of 3 months is required to intern at

WAADdesigns in order to see clear and actual results, and for the intern to gain true working

experience.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE

GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERN

The Graphic Design Intern is responsible for providing support for the marketing department

through a variety of channels, print, digital, web, video and other as assigned. The Graphic

Design intern will report to the Marketing Director and will assist with the development and

design of core WAAD graphics, logos, collateral event materials and a variety of other creative

tasks as assigned. The Graphic Design Intern will also be assigned various website updates

utilizing wix.com.

The Graphic Design Intern’s primary duties include but are not limited to: Prepare images to

coincide with social and blog posts Assist with website and blog updates via wix.com Assist with

collateral updates and version control Creation of various logos for products Creation and

updates to various sales collateral Assist with video production (shooting, editing, etc.) Other

projects as assigned.

FASHION DESIGN INTERN

While most interns will not do any actual designing as part of the internship, but at

WAADdesigns they will have the chance to do so with the supervision with the designer, and

they will have the chance to see their design come to life and be sold online on the brand’s

official website. They will also get to perform other duties necessary to the design process, as

part of the design team, an intern researches trends and current fashions, buys fabrics and pulls

together accessories to complement created pieces. Interns assist with fabric cutting and

sewing, pattern making and setting up showrooms. The intern places orders with suppliers and

corresponds with sales representatives and companies who produce the designer's pieces.

Photo Shoots:

The WAADdesigns intern will have the opportunity to plan and assist with photo shoots, book

photographers, scout for models and plan the perfect campaigns to go with the collection

designed.

Special Events:

This year we will celebrate the opening of WAADdesigns new headquarters, The space will have

booth a showroom for clients, design offices, and much more. This will help the interns get into

the real world of fashion and learn first hand how to plan a launch event. Some interns will be

responsible for inviting guests, corresponding with the media and setting up catering. They

might also help plan the upcoming sale event.

Administrative Tasks:

Along with the more exciting duties, many fashion design interns also fulfill other more

mundane responsibilities. Interns provide administrative support, answering phones, checking

and replying to e-mail and even monitoring the designer's or company's social media outlets.

An intern may also create promotional material, such as newsletters, ads and press releases.

Interns run any errands, such as preparing mailings, setting up meetings and making copies.
