INVITATION OF PUBLIC COMMENTS

Sub: Four Laning of Mukkola Junction to Kerala/Tamilnadu Border (Km.26+500 to

Km.43+000) of NH-66 in the State of Kerala under NHDP Phase-III on EPC

mode-Right of way permissions for Temporary laying of 33 KV cable in

Underground manner by Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) Method between

Km.26.450 to Km.26.540(LHS) on NH-66 and crossing at Km.26.540 near

Vizhinjam International Seaport-Reg..

The proposal is regarding permission sought by M/s. Adani Vizhinjam Port Pvt

Ltd for laying of 33 KV cable by Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) Method between

Km.26.450 to Km.26.540 (LHS) on NH-66 and crossing at Km.26.540 near Vizhinjam

International Seaport.

2: M/s.Adani Vizhinjam Port Pvt Ltd has furnished an undertaking to shift the

laying of 33 KV cable underground manner at their own cost at an alternate

location whenever NHAI or any other road authorities make a request for shifting of

the same within 60 days from the date of receipt. Further, the applicant has

undertaken for payment of rent/fee as mentioned in the Ministry’s Circular No.

RW/NH-33044/29/2015-S&R dated 22.11.2016.

3. Further, M/s.Adani Vizhinjam Port Pvt Ltd has undertaken that they will not

damage any other utility during the process on laying and in case, if damaged, then to

pay the losses either to NHAI or to the agency concerned. M/s.Adani Vizhinjam has also

undertaken not to obstruct the drainage of the road and to ensure adequate safety

measures during the execution of the work.

4, As per the guidelines issued by the Ministry vide letter No.RW/NH-

33044/29/2015/S&R(R) dated 22.11.2016, the proposal submitted by , M/s.Adani

Vizhinjam Port Pvt Ltd will be made available for 30 days seeking public

Comments/objections and the comments shall be furnished within 30 days from the day

of closure of public objections.
