THE NEW STANDARD IN TERMS OF FUEL CAPS FOR INDUSTRIAL VEHICLES.Ergonomics and functionality are only the start of what this solution has to offer.

SAFETYAs a safety device, ZIPPER guarantees that the fuel tank is always closed when a refill pistol is not inserted into the tank, therefore replacing the standard fuel cap. The sliding, spring loaded cap quickly returns to it’s closed position as soon as the pistol neck is extracted after refilling operations have taken place. This feature ensures there is no spillage of fuel during travel or even in the inadverted case of the vehicle leaving it’s upright position.

PROTECTIONEach ZIPPER comes complete with its own identification label, to distinguish it from any imitations and guarantees product uniqueness. As the cap has valves that address pressure fluctuations within the tank, every single product undergoes rigorous computerised controls to check its suitability.

CONTROLCONTROL is delegated to ZIPPER’s on board electronics and intelligent firmware. It is possible for ZIPPER to warn a local or remote operator of any operations involving opening, closing or refilling, the characteristics of which could indicate un authorised tampering or fuel theft activities. Such benefits are achieved by interfacing ZIPPER as a periferal device to the on board GPS localizing hardware. These functions need to be specifically activated.

INTEGRATIONZIPPER adopts radio transmission protocols that conform with industrial standards. This feature allows for its integration with other management and security systems. Paired with a GPRS/GPS control unit, any unauthorised opening of the tank results in an alarm signal, sent either to an actual alarm, if connected, as a text message or to an operational support centre.

EASY FITTINGZIPPER is fitted in seconds thanks to the double bayonet system, no mechanical modifications are required, no screws, no rivets, no glue or sealants.

ZIPPER WIRED version for traditional installation using a wired connection.

ZIPPER can be directly connected to the on board electronics by running a bipolar cable from the tank to the cabin interior.

Given the adeguate configuration of the telematics system, any wire cutting or tampering will be identified.

ZIPPER WIRELESS version for a rapid and secure connection to the telematics.

ZIPPER comes complete with a battery-powered encoded micro-transmitter that is protected inside the body itself.

On board of the vehicle, a dedicated receiver allows for universal connection to the GPRS apparatus to provide warning of any operations involving the opening of the tank.

The ZIPPER system analyses fuel cap opening and is compatible with all original models on sale (SCANIA – IVECO - DAF- MERCEDES - RENAULT - VOLVO etc.). It can be used to verify where and when the fuel cap is opened while also serving to guard against fuel theft.Zipper features interfacing capability, in wired and wireless versions, and is compatible with most hardware on board which allows remote transfer of data via GPRS - SMS.

ZIPPER CLASSIC is installed in hundreds of vehicles worldwide. A unique solution that is also a valid and secure alternative to the standard fuel cap.
