2018 Webinar Schedule Please note that all times listed are in the Eastern Standard Time (EST) Zone.
SAFETY COMMITTEE CERTIFICATION
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Is your organization forming a new safety committee or does your committee need annual certification training? This webinar meets the requirements necessary to fulfill your certification obligations as required by the State of Pennsylvania Department of Labor. Not located in PA? That’s okay! This course will provide any safety committee with a basic understanding of the following principles: Committee Formation & Structure, Hazard Identification, Accident Investigation, Substance Abuse Awareness & Prevention, Tips to Survive a Department of Labor Audit, and How to Apply for or Renew the PA 5% Safety Credit.
WORKERS' COMPENSATION FOR MANAGERS & SUPERVISORS
COURSE DESCRIPTION: The focus of your professional career has been about being the best you can be, whether that involves providing a service, making a sale, or manufacturing a product. This is no easy task and has required persistence, education, experience, and maybe even learning a few things through the “school of hard knocks.” One of the primary tasks of management is to navigate through the maze of responsibilities, accountabilities, and regulatory or legal requirements associated with employee injuries. Managing employee injuries is one of those topics they don’t teach you about in school, yet a mistake can be very costly to your company! At the conclusion of this course, you will learn: the parameters of statutory workers’ compensation rules, the basics of Workers’ Compensation insurance, how to create a safety-minded culture, and building a sound risk management program.
OSHA RECORD KEEPING
COURSE DESCRIPTION: OSHA implemented a new rule that requires employers to post their OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 forms electronically. Find out whether your organization is required to post their OSHA logs publicly. Many employers struggle to determine whether an accident/illness is recordable. In this course, we will discuss the criteria set forth by OSHA to determine if a case is recordable and how to complete the necessary logs.
