� Thare are good arguments in favour of water hydraulics. Due to its physical properties water has a number of technical advantages.
Where industrial hygiene, fire protection and product compatibility are concerned water hydraulics offers some unbeatable arguments.
Water is widely available everywhere, inexpensive and thus more economical than comparable technologies.
� More stringent environmental protection regulations have been adopted worldwide which considerably increase the costs for theoperation of oil or emulsion-based hydraulic systems. All systemcomponents that have got into contact with oil or emulsions, and also hoses, seals, cleaning media and many more have to be disposed of today in a special way – disposal costs thus rise rapidly. In oil-hydraulic systems minute quantitites of oil escaping are sufficient to contaminate large quantities of valuable groundwater.
