The VTU sensor is a piezoelectric ultrasonic dry-rundetection sensor with built-in thermal sensor andaccelerometer. The sensor is designed for continuoustracking of the self-resonance frequency of the frontmembrane and to provide other information, such astemperature and vibrations rate. The signalprocessing takes place in GiM CIU, and the VTU sensormust be connected to it to provide the data.
