    Step 1: Register and request your absentee ballot

    To request an absentee ballot, complete a Federal Post CardApplication (FPCA) in the State or territory where you are a legalresident. The FPCA also acts as your voter registration form.

    For the November 2014 election, send in your FPCA by August 1,2014.

    Use to complete and print the form, along with aFVAP.govpre-paid envelope and instructions for submitting it.

    In person:

    Get a hardcopy form from a Voting Assistance Officer at militarybases, U.S. embassies and consulates, election organizations, andcorporations worldwide.

    Be sure you provide your complete contact information, including youremail address, on your FPCA. If you don't, your request for a ballot maybe denied.

    When you email or fax a voted ballot,it will not be secret. You waive the

    Where can I find information aboutthe candidates and/or other itemsthat will be on my ballot?

    Your regular ballot or FWAB must be sworn before two witnesses (18 years orolder). Since the FWAB form provides space for one witness, place the secondwitness signature in box Block 9.

    The Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) registers youto vote and requests absentee ballots for all Federal,State and county offices and for proposed constitutionalamendments and local referendums held during thecurrent calendar year.

    How and where to submit your FWAB

    The deadlines for submitting the FWAB are the same asfor State absentee ballots. If you receive the regularballot after submitting the voted FWAB, you may alsovote and return the State ballot. If both ballots arereceived by the deadline, only the State ballot will becounted.

    How and where to submit your FWAB
