SCOPE OF SERVICES

The Milwaukee Public Schools conlract requirements include a scope of services statement to be provided with the contract. A scope of services contains a summary of the services that you will provide, the dates, times and location(s) that the services will occur and che cost for the projected servic-es.

This is a suggested template that you may use to provide the necessary information that is required for processing your contract.

The projecl is focused on five major initiatives:

I - Professional humanists. anists and community leaders from the ACLU and Milwaukee Public Theatre will provide at

least 30 hours of "residency" activities in each partner facility during the year, working closely with at least 80 students in grades 6

through 12. l'ASA will engage students in the creation of projects and artwork for public presentation that will be rooted in

li:>cu~cd di><cussion~ or current events. legal issues and cultural trend~ affecting the participants. Sta If will help students identify

issues that shape their lives and communities, and engage those issues through artistic displays, public prcsc..ntations and

workshops. Many of these activities will take place via ' 'Student Alliances" that will meet for an average of 1.5 hours per week

after school for 20 weeks throughout the 2011-2012 academic year, and into the summer at MPT's new 35.000 square-foot

~owntown community space in The Shops of Urand Avenue.

2 - PASA staff will select a core group of eight young people from MI'S high schools to serve as paid interns during the

summer of 2012. lnlcms will be trained to racililllle and document issue-focused workshops and project activities for young

people and other community members.

3 - PASA will offer a minimum of 70 hours of public workshops in schools through.out the city during the spring and

sununer of 2012. Participants will create issue-focused displays and public events that will involve at least 500 students.

Workshops will identify issues such as bullying and discrimination, and students will develop stralcbrjcs lo 11ddn."S• 11i.,.,n and their

relations to the law. Activities will follow the S.A.F.E. Criteria and be Sequential, Active, Focused 11nd Explicit.
