SSID - Service Set Identifier Is a name used to

identify WLANs to which a user wants to attach.

It is normal for multiple access points to share the same SSID if they provide access to the same network.

Turning off the broadcast of the SSID leads to a false sense of security.

My Opinion

It is cheap and fast

It is easy to use

It has high level of security

I think, Wi-Fi can be very useful in The smart home.
