Acquisition of Technology March 2001: A team of senior technicians accepted training in the United States. Trial production of RO membranes accomplished.
Mid 2001: A complete set of 12-inch RO membrane pilot-test producing line was imported.
June 2002: A second team of technicians was sent to the United States for training and accept the equipment.
End of 2002: Equipment commissioning was successfully accomplished. Beginning of mass production of membrane.

• The HOR (high oxidation resistant) series of membrane elements developed and exclusively owned by VONTRON has the excellent properties that can remain basically unchanged after continuous running for 30 hours through the impact of oxidative substances with 1880ppm. It can endure up to 26,000ppm·h (in term of NaCIO) of transient oxidative impact while maintaining the rejection rate to be not less than 98%, and is applicable to various fields, such as aseptic water system, sewage treatment, recycled water reuse, medicine and pharmaceuticals as well as foodstuff industry.

FR (fouling resistant) series of aromatic polyamide RO membrane
element developed by Vontron Technology Co., Ltd. is applicable to desalination of brackish water. It is characterized by low-pressure operation, higher water productivity and excellent desalting performance. Moreover, special treatment has been made to the surface of membrane with unique technology to change its electrical charge and smoothness, increasing the hydrophilicity of membrane surface, thus decreasing the adhesion of contamination and microbe so as to lessen the pollution and extend the service life of elements.

Covering residential type (1812-size and 2012 size), commercial type (2540-size) and industrial type (4040-size and 8040-size), the nanofiltration elements are designed for removing from water various organics, microbes, viruses and most metallic ions with two or higher valence while retaining part of the sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium ions, etc. Nanofiltration, free of chemical reaction, heating and transformation, can keep the biological activity undamaged and maintain the primary flavor or fragrance of substance unchanged, and is increasingly applied in production of drinking water and in separation and concentration/purification processes for foodstuff, medicine, biological engineering and pollution treatment, etc

Project of Shanghai Coking & Chemical Co. Ltd

Incorporated in 1958, Shanghai Coking & Chemical Co Ltd is a large-scale chemical enterprise with total assets at RMB 7 billion (about USD 11 billion) and annual turnover at RMB 6.5 billion (about USD 1 billion). An RO system using foreign brand membrane elements was put into operation in a subsidiary of Shanghai Coking & Chemical Co ltd in early 2008. Using the water taken from Huangpu River as its feedwater, the product water was used as the replenishment water for the boiler.

VONTRON’s FR21-8040 is used for replacing the membranes installed 2 years ago. After replacement, the conductivity of first-pass RO product water is always at
25µS/cm, with system feedwater pressure at 10bar, permeate flow at 120m3/h and recovery at 75%. Comparing with the previous system, the feedwater pressure decreases by 3.7 kg/cm2, permeate flow increases by 41m3/h, product water conductivity decreases by 30 µS/cm, and energy consumption decreases by 0.28K per cubic meter of product water.

Typical Wastewater Reuse Project - Beihai Thermal Power Plant of Dalian Thermal Power Co. Ltd
This recycled water reuse project was a key project of Dalian City in 2006, and was sponsored by the national government. Dalian Thermal Power Co., Ltd. has been using VONTRON’s membrane products in municipal sewage treatment. It shows that VONTRON’s membrane products have reliable and consistent performance and reach the world’s leading level.

Recycled Water Reuse - Taiyuan Steel Plant
Totally 6 RO systems are installed in the plant, among which 3 sets utilizes VONTRON’s PURO-I membranes while the rest 3 systems use the fouling resistant membrane of a famous foreign brand. Each system contains 51 pcs of 7-filter housings in the array of 33x18. Vontron’s PURO-I has been put into operation in February 2014, and shows that Vontron’s membranes has better performance than the said foreign brand.

The occurrence of breaking in the membranes supplied by a foreign brand previously installed in Guizhou Tyre Co Ltd had seriously influenced the service life and system stability of membrane elements, resulting in the replacement with VONTRON’s PURO-I membranes that have unique fouling resistant coating and wider flowing channel. These merits can decrease the fouling speed, thus solving the problem of membrane breaking caused by high pressure difference, elongating the period of chemical cleaning and ensuring the stable operation of Guizhou Tyre Co. Ltd.
