General Description: All board members are expected to attend all board meetings, follow their blueprint, report on their progress, stick their budget, be familiar with AVABF bylaws as well as with AVABF policies & procedures. All hands on deck during festival week.
Filled President: Overall head & general cheerleader. Chairs meetings. Provides oversight. Filled Vice President: Public Relations and main media contact. Assists president with duties. Filled Finical Director: Prepares & ensures the budget is followed and that all bills are paid on
time. Completes all required government reports including tax returns and payroll. Filled Secretary: Keeps minutes. Oversees by-‐laws and policy & procedures manual. Filled Children’s Parade: Orders supplies and oversees volunteers. Ensures everything needed
for the children’s parade is together and organizes the day of duties for children’s parade. Filled Community Liaison: Go-‐To person for Community Reps. Needs to have thorough
knowledge of Leadership protocols. Filled Events Director: Contracts with third party organizations to ensure there are events during
festival, in addition to core AVABF events. Filled Grand Street Parade: Organizes & oversees the parade & the volunteers who work that
day, including both line-‐up locations as well as Headquarters. Filled Leadership Director: Official person for the Leadership Competition. Attends community
teas prior to Festival, plus numerous community festivals during the summer. Stays with Candidates during Festival. Year-‐round Go-‐To person for all Leadership Candidates.
Filled Tourism Director: Fins ways for AVABF to promote Valley communities. Grant Writer: Seeks out and applies for appropriate funding and grants to help build
AVABF. Filled Volunteer Director: Recruits & trains volunteers for festival week. Filled Cultural Director: Over sees Dan D Apple and the reviewing stand. Oversees the temporary
tattoo completion. Sponsorship Director: Oversees the sponsorship package and getting it to potential
sponsors. As well follows on with potential sponsors to ensure festival has the sponsors required.
