RightNow media and TheCity help us “do church” 24/7!Connect on TheCity:The city social app is one tool we are using at Spring Hills to stay more connected to current and relevant events happening in the life of our congregation. Communication must be frequent and somewhat fluid to truly be effective in today’s world. The City is helping you better communicate with church leaders and each other. In a matter of seconds you can let your church family know about your grandmother’s health, or inquire about a friend’s job interview, and even sign up to provide a meal for a grieving family. If you have not given the City a try yet, we encourage you to check it out. It is a powerful tool in helping us all stay more connected.

Crisis Ministry Prayer Chain

As Jesus told His followers: ”… whatever you ask in My Name, that I will do, so that the Father is Glorified in the Son” [John 14:13]; We, too, desire to Glorify the Father through His Son, our Savior – Jesus. Thus, in an effort to both manage the challenge, and maintain vigilance, we have developed a core of individuals who intercede on behalf of critical, crisis and otherwise urgent needs from within and outside of our body. This “Chain of Prayer” can be accessed by contacting our church office or our SHBC website.

Wee Ones - Preschool Nursery

Our Nursery, Pre-K, and Kindergarten ministry is a high energy, kingdom centered zone offered during weekend services and various other ministries of SHBC. The Kid Zone hallway is themed as a Kids Town offering an exciting place for children to visit and learn about Jesus!

As your children visit Kings Cones (White Room), Noah’s Pet Shop (Yellow Room), Elijah’s Fire Station (Red Room), and the Psalms Library (Blue Room), we want them to learn that they were created by God and intended to be in a loving relationship with Him through the releasing of kingdom identity.

In Wee Worship children sing, dance and participate in interactive Bible lessons. Children will also have time for prayer, crafts and offering, which supports Jesse, our Compassion International child. The fun continues with snack, a visit to play land and the occasional diaper change. But none of these ministry tasks are done without the Love of Jesus.

Jesus couldn’t help but immerse himself in the lives of children, as seen in Matthew 19:14 “Jesus said, Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these”, and we embrace the call of God to love his children and raise them up to know, experience and love God.

Volunteers have a variety of ways to pick up the call to raise a generation for the kingdom. They can serve in a color room, donate snacks, greet both parents and children, teach, read, play, serve snacks, play music or act out Bible skits. If you leave your child in our care, you will receive a badge with your child’s number on it when you arrive and you must have that badge to pick up your child when you return after the service. If your child is in need, you will be notified using the LCD screen below the sermon screen in the sanctuary. Our team promises to provide a safe and clean environment for your child to have fun and grow spiritually.

AWANA

AWANA – an acronym intending to remind us that: “Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed”, has been bringing the Truth of God’s Word to thousands and thousands of children, ages 3-12, at Spring Hills Baptist for 20 + years! This International Children’s Outreach & Discipleship Program is offered here each Wednesday of the school year, from 6 – 8 pm. This year alone we saw children receive Christ as personal Savior, grow in love with Him & His Word, share their budding faith and “hide” hundreds upon hundreds of Bible verses in their hearts that they “may not sin against Him!!” Each week, between 150-190 students & leaders, gather corporately for prayer, verse recitation, games and crafts. Highlights of the year also included our LOCAL MISSION OUTREACH (that collected over $700 for missions), the Grand Prix Car Kit Race and visits from Missionaries, Pastors and Special Guests!

Connections Groups Connection Groups at Spring Hills Baptist Church are vital to the overall vision of “Building Generations for Jesus Christ.” We live in a connected world; smartphones, tablets, social media, the cloud, wifi, the list could go on. However, it is clear that intentional connections with friends, neighbors, and families are not happening. The goal of each Connection Group is to give people scheduled opportunities to connect with followers of Jesus and the Bible. You were indeed made to connect! Prayerfully consider joining a Connection Group today.
