rom the irst gra"e in &alestine% most o them have at least a basic bac'groun" inEnglish. However% they have ha" limite" opportunities to use their English s'ills inconversation% an" the Excellence Center o ers a way or them to get this 'in" o practice.

ccasionally the Excellence Center sta also teaches seminars an" wor'shops at anearby #niversity. Volunteers may be as'e" to ul ill a"ministrative "uties li'e

un"raising% writing announcements% or helping to implement community projects.Wor'ing with the stu"ents an" management sta will present ample opportunity orlearning an" practicing rabic in the wor'place.

We li'e to share meals together at the center an" you will have the chance toma'e rien"s with our team o native interns an" sta 1creating cultural exchange or li e.EC can provi"e you with contacts to meet #niversity stu"ents or peer2to2peer learning atyour re3uest.

$ince the Excellence center "oesn0t receive any un" rom any governmental ornon2governmental organi4ations. ll volunteers pay 600 $/month . 5emale interns willli'ely be place" with a &alestinian host amily% "epen"ing on availability. ale internsare provi"e" housing in nearby apartments or with a host amily. 6ravel is relativelycheap within &alestine% an" share" taxis are rea"ily available or transportation to othercities. $atur"ay an" $un"ay are wor'2"ays in &alestine% but 5ri"ay is a holi"ay.

Volunteers are encourage" to respect local culture% an" re rain rom wearingshorts ( or either sex). Women are 'in"ly as'e" to "ress mo"estly% which inclu"es notwearing shorts% short s'irts% or shirts which are low2cut or short2sleeve". Winter can berather col"% so ma'e sure to pac' warm clothes. 7ight long2sleeve" shirts an" blouses aswell as pants are best suite" or summer.
