Salah Forbidden Times

The time of sunrise until the sun rises to the extent of the height of a spear

Shortening Prayer - ConditionsHis journey should be long (82 Km one way) with a known destination

The journey should be permissible

Knowledge of the permissibility of Qasr

Intention of Qasr during Takbirat al-ihram

Salah should be of a four rak’aas salah

The continuity of travel until the completion of the two rak’aas of salah

He should not follow one who is performing salah completely in any portion of it

The complete salah be performed in the time of Zuhr

It should be within a district of the town

To perform the salah in congregation

There should be forty free males who are mature and residents of the town

No other congregation of Jum’ah in the same town should be offered before it or at the same time

To deliver two khutbas before the salah

Praising Allah in both

Enjoining Taqwa in both

Recitation of one verse

of Quran in one of them

Sunan and Adab of Jum’ah

Ghusl anytime after dawn and before Jum’ah

Cleaning teeth (miswak), trimming nails and removing body hair, eliminate offensive odours, and using perfumes and one’s finest clothes

Arrive early and come on foot in tranquility and dignity

Salah in abundance upon Nabi, reciting Quran (surah Kahf), and Zikr

Supplicate to Allah seeking the moment when duas are answered

Sitting near the imam and listening to the Khutbah attentively
