In The Windsheild

We have added a number of events for September since the August newsletter was published. On Sunday, the 13th

we have been invited to the Radnor Hunt Concours d’Elegance.Again this year we can have our MGs on the Club Field. See theenclosed flyer and registration form.

On the 20th we will have a road trip starting at theRita’s in Schwenksville, led by Glenn Davis and Mark Johnson,at 2 PM. We will journey through some back roads and end upat Northside Ortino’s (the site of the Holiday Party) for outdoordining.

As usual we will trek down to the MGs of Baltimore’s“Rocks” British Car & Bike Show at Rocks State Park. The “east-ern” caravan will leave the McDonalds at the intersection ofRoutes 3 and 320 in Broomall at 9 AM. We will meet up withthe “western” caravan at the Citgo Station/Convenience Store onRoute 10 (near Rt. 1) at 10 AM and continue the caravan downto the Show. The Show takes place on Saturday, the 26th - Rainor Shine - hopefully less rainy than last year!

After the “Rocks” Show we will journey back intoPennsylvania and drive to Glenn and Karen Davis’ home for apicnic. Please call Glenn at 610-869-2608 to confirm yourattendance - that way they know how many to expect. If you’renot going to the “Rocks” please join us for the picnic. It will startaround 3:30.

The following day, the 27th, we will meet at the home ofthe Club President to stuff the “goodie” bags for the “Brits”Show. Arrive about 10 AM, we’ll stuff the bags, and go some-where local for lunch.

The October Club event is our own, “Brits at the Village”British Car & Bike Show at Peddler’s Village in Lahaska, PA onthe 10th. See a flyer in last month’s newsletter or at the Clubwebsite - www.phillymgclub.com. For those planning to helpout at the Show please try to arrive around 8 AM, which willgive us about an hour to set up before the Show Field opens at 9.Hope to see you there.

This month we welcome Bob Camp (‘71 MGB).

In a separate mailing you willsoon receive the ballot for elec-tions of your Board of Directorsfor 2010. Please follow theinstructions in the accompany-ing letter and get your vote in. Unlike Chicago you can’t

“vote early, vote often!”
