The Oath of the Vayuputras is Part 3 of the Shiva Trilogy. And it
is considered to be the best and
most thrilling conclusion of the epic book series. The author Amish
Tripathi has certainly put it in
best, in this part of the trilogy. This series is about the life of
Lord Shiva but Amish have modified
the story with different characters and facts. Amish Tripathi has
taken lot of liberties with the
original story and created his own story, with different imaginary
characters. Books written by
Amish are often give the reader an impression that she/he is
watching a movie but the look of
characters and scene can be enjoyed by each reader as per his/her
own imagination. When you read
this book, you get into your make believe world. All the characters
in the book are narrated with
great precision; the narration was very shrewd and the language is
simple.
Every page of the book astonished the reader because of its
suspense. Every chapter is full of thrill.
Once you start reading you cant put it down this book. You want to
read more and want to know
what will happen next. Amish Tripathi puts every emotion in his
book, i.e. love, trust, anger,
sorrow, joy, adventure, drama, war strategy etc. Anyone who is an
Amish fan or anyone who loves
reading mythology/suspense as a genre should definitely read this
book. It cannot be missed!!!

Metro flood Management and Efforts of Urban Civic Authorities – A
Case Study of Municipal
Corporation of Greater Mumbai and emerging horizons by
Dr.A.A.Attarwala, Director KBS &
Prof. C.S.Balasubramaniam, KBS
Abstract
Indian cities lack basic urban infrastructure planning. Most cities
have grown over time with little
or no planning. Metro cities like Mumbai though have monsoons every
year, its people miserably
suffer hardships with water logging and traffic jams in railways
and roads and undergo chaos.
Coastal cities like Busan (South Korea) and San Francisco (USA)
have developed with detailed
disaster risk management plans. They have advanced forecasting
techniques and use underground
tanks, submersible pumps, levees, stream gates to handle such
eventualities and consequent
calamities.
In a situation where human beings cannot prevent nature's fury in
the form of heavy monsoons,
Urban Civic Authorities have to undertake massive efforts to
control and rescue the people and
their physical properties .In this paper, it is proposed to study
and analyse data related to the
Mumbai Metro city's vulnerabilities including topography, rainfall
pattern, high tides, river water
and storm water drainage system and flood preparedness and
management in Mumbai
Metropolitan area. The study would evaluate the efforts of
Municipal Corporation of Greater
Mumbai (MCGM) in to enhance the internal competency to prepare,
manage and eventually
reduce its vulnerability to flood related disasters in comparison
to Chennai which had massive
floods in 2015. Business Analytics and its applications in the form
of the advanced statistical
methods would be used in predicting and managing the floods and in
avoiding consequential
huge disasters. It includes critical information required for
creating awareness and could come in
very handy in case of a natural disaster.
