We are so excited for the New Year and all of the new things it brings to the Cottage. We have several new Blocks of the Month starting includ‐ing Patriots in Petticoats and Civil War Chronicles. These quilts are just beautiful done in reproduction fabrics! Also,
starting in February, we will be doing Paris in the Fall which is done in Maison de Garance fabrics from French General. This is a very vintage fabric line that is done in reds, browns & creams. There is more information in the newsletter, so if you are interested in any of these quilts be sure and sign up early as we do have limited space.
Samantha has ordered several new gift items for the Cot‐tage for the new year so be sure and check back often to
see the unique items!

* All Classes must be pre‐registered for and payment is due at the time of registration. Phone registrations will hold a spot for 48 hours. * You may cancel at least three days prior to the class time and the class fee will be refunded as store credit ‐ sorry no cash refunds. * Patterns and supplies are not included in the class fee unless oth‐erwise noted. * With class registrations, receive a 10% discount on all class supplies. Please have all the materials needed for the class before the class begins. This allows for class to start at the scheduled time. We don’t want to cut into the class time trying to gather materials. * Classes will be held at the Cot‐tage unless otherwise noted. * Cottage Inspirations reserves the right to cancel any class if the mini‐mum number of students aren’t registered three days before the class starts. If we cancel the class your registration fee will be re‐funded.

Civil War Chronicles BOM Club
Come to the cottage on the 4th Tuesday evening of each month from 6:00 to 9:00 pm and work on your Civil War
Chronicles blocks. There will be talking, snacking,
(and of course some sewing) going on!
It’s a great way to keep current
on these beautiful blocks! When finished this will be a one
of a kind heirloom quilt!

The Farmer’s Wife Sampler Quilt is a collection of 111 six inch
blocks put together in a queen size sampler quilt. Each month
for 18 months we will make 6 or 7 blocks for which you will
receive 8 fat eighths of reproduc-tion fabrics. The last month you will receive the sashing, setting
and border fabrics.
The Farmer’s Wife Book includes a CD so you can print templates
for the blocks.

Collection by Windham Fabrics in association with the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Windham has plumbed the archives of the DAR to reproduce beautiful and elegant fabrics used by
women over 170 years ago.
Monthly kits will be ready on the 15TH of each month and the price per month is only $24.95,
+ $5 shipping.
CIVIL WAR CHRONICLES

The Civil War Chronicles BOM quilt features twelve blocks that tell the stories of twelve
women who encountered their own struggles on the homefront while their husbands were away. Each pattern includes historical background and
biographies about the generals' wives.
The Civil War Chronicles BOM includes the fab-rics and pattern needed to complete the quilt top
and binding. A backing set is available sepa-rately. Patterns includes many new features
suggested by customers & shops including: Technical directions by Vivian Ritter, former edi-
tor of Quilter's Newsletter Magazine; Finished sizes for individual units within the blocks More color diagrams Quick-trick piecing techniques to
simplify construction.

Wind & Willow Baked Potato Soup Mix
Bistro Style Loaded Baked Potato Soup
INGREDIENTS: 4 cups water 1-1/2 cups milk 1 can diced potatoes (optional) Shredded Cheddar Cheese Bacon Bits Chives or sliced green onion
DIRECTIONS: Combine Soup Mix with water and milk. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring frequently. If adding potatoes, add them at this time. Simmer another 5 to 10 minutes. Top each serving with Cheddar Cheese, bacon bits, and chives. Serves 6
