Leona Valley The Governor has proclaimed that water usage must be reduced by 25% based on water usage in 2013. However, the Water Resource Board is basing the reduction on usage in September 2014 which is a considerable discrepancy. Leona Valley is expected to cut water usage by 35%. Leona Valley is rated residential rather than farming. This time of year water usage is higher due to fruit trees and alfalfa crops. Construction on a transmitter/receiver located behind the fire station has been halted due to complaints of public safety. EVF waves and other health concerns are being looked into before construction can resume.

LOCATION: The location committee is looking for locations for our club meetings. It has been agreed that we would continue our meetings once monthly on the 1st Saturday of the month (the club voted and agreed on this). Several restaurants were considered as a meeting place. A possible place would be the Leona Valley Community Church. For the time being meetings will continue at member’s homes for a few months. It is felt that Creekside may come under new ownership and we would be able to resume our meetings there. Our next meeting will be at Linda Lorenz’s home on May 2nd at 8 a.m. followed by a board meeting.
