In the past when coming to our office you were asked to sign-in on a clipboard at the back of the office. When you arrive please sign-in on the iPad station at the entrance to the office by following the directions on the tablet. Once you have signed in please have a seat on the bench, we receive an alert that you are waiting for assistance and will be with you as soon as possible. Stemming from collaborations built by Dr. Sarah Finocchario Kessler as part of an NIH grant funded HIV research project, OIP has begun establishing relationships with institutions in Kenya. As part of the KUMC delegation’s visit to Kenya in June 2018, KUMC signed an agreement with Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) located in Nairobi. In July 2018 the governor of Nandi County, Kenya visited KUMC in to sign an agreement. After coming to KUMC in March 2018 and meeting with the delegation in June, we are in process of signing an agreement with Kisii University located in Kisii. Having these agreements in place allows for joint research and educational activities, locations for KUMC students to participate in International Educational Experiences, and for those at the Kenyan institutions to come to KUMC.
