The Pastor’s Corner Rev. Wayne P. Snodgrass, D. Min.

June is a time for cele-brating. A few weeks ago we celebrated with our youth who were graduat-ing high school seniors. I was so proud of the gradu-ates. My reasons were not that there were any special favorites, but this was an-other class of persons who were born since I have been at Progressive Union. Also, this year featured college graduates who had parents to marry, and who were born during my ten-ure. Long pastorates give a privilege that cannot be experienced other ways. Making a Difference in the World (Part 66)

Now that we have become a Church in the Word,

what does it mean to be in the Word? Being in the Word it should drive us to be living example of the knowledge of the Word and exercising actions the Word employ.

In carrying out Gods will we should have the zeal to abide in the Word. We say that we believe in him but are we will to live the examples that the Word left with us? We should be willing to love each oth-er, which includes our enemies. We should be will-ing to give aid to our neighbors. We should be able to sacrifice our needs and desires for others. We should be able to uplift those that are depressed.

When we give of ourselves freely and with Love we will then start “Making a Difference in the World”.
