another hot day as has been the norm lately, so we arevery thankful to David Denney for arranging for the useof the air conditioned meeting room and for anothergreat job of cooking the fish, chicken, and trimmings.David and his crew always come up big for us. Thanksas well to Jo Lippard for organizing the side dishes anddesserts.

The first order of business was the approval ofthe June meeting minutes. We welcomed new memberRon Hickey (2015 392 Charger). Club membership nowstands at 158.

James Peach was unable to attend due to havingheart issues. He is being treated with medication at thispoint. Bob Dukatz was able to attend, but is sufferingfrom vertigo. There is some great news in that DonWolfe's grand-daughter has responded very well to hertreatment and is cancer free but continues her chemo toprevent any reoccurrence. Please keep each of them inyour thoughts and prayers.

Several members attended the Mopar Nationalsin Columbus, Ohio Aug. 12-14; hopefully they will give usa report at the upcoming Goody-Bag Stuffing.

August 26th will be “rain date” Mopar Night atthe Hendersonville cruise-in. The event is held at theStreets of Indian Lake behind the cinemas. Take exit 7off of Vietnam Veterans by-pass. They had a great turnout last year and will have a designated parking area forMopars again this year, so bring your ride out to showwhat Mopar pride is to all of the other attendees.

The Classics In The Park 9th annual show washeld at Williams Spring Park in Mt. Pleasant, TN onAugust 6th. Our club sponsored the "Mopar Best InShow" trophy, and it was awarded to the owner of abeautiful Dodge Demon. There is more info on theseand other events on the club website.

Cheese?

Cheers!

If you did not attend the meeting, you missed onall the new construction that is taking place at the WilsonCounty Fairgrounds. It will be nice when it is complete, but it will present us with a few challenges for this year'sshow. We will try to use the Fiddler's Grove entrancegate that is located just as you get to the corner of thegrounds before the entrance we used last year. We planto take the entry fees, hand out entry forms, and directthe entrants to go to the pavilion to complete the entryprocess or to proceed to the show field to park and thengo to the pavilion if they choose.

So far we have 27 pre-entries. If the weather co-operates, we hope to have 175 - 200 entries. Because ofthis potentially strong turn-out, we need to have as manymembers as possible sign-up to work during the show.We need help Friday to set up the show and to run thecruise-in to the Snow White drive-in. A great bonus tohelping on Friday is the great food that the guys fromNew Orleans will be providing. As always, we need a lotof help on Saturday with parking, judging, sales, and

several other jobs during the day. You will not have towork all day, and you will have a great time meeting allof the people who enter the show, the vendors, and thespectators. We have a very good reputation among theparticipants and our club membership is the reason why.Club members may enter their vehicles in the show andmay choose to have them judged or not, but if you wantto help judge, you cannot judge the class that you haveentered.

We are still in need of trophy sponsors and goodybag items. Please contact Wayne Hall for sponsorshipinformation.

We have yet to pick a charity for the 50/50drawing this year, so please bring your ideas to the nextmeeting.

The movie schedule for Saturday at the show willbe posted soon. "Christine" is the choice for the Fridaynight show.

The August MCMC meeting will be at Jim’NNick's in Cool Springs on August 28th. This is the lastmeeting before our show, so please be there if you haveanything show related to discuss.

During this hot summer, be cool driving thosegreat Mopars.

Bob Dukatz will help with the announcing

during our 27th Annual Show in September.
