1 May the blessings of God be with you as we go forth toward the summer. This month is another busy month for me, and for many parents of our graduating students. Many of you are reaching the most important plateau, high school graduation, and others this is part of a series of graduations in your adult life. Whatever you do, enjoy your time and praise God for the blessing. This is also the time America celebrates Mother‟s Day. Each year our nation takes time to particularly honor women who assume the role of mothers. So many of these women don‟t have naturally born chil- dren, but they have served to be nurturers and inspi- ration for so many youth. We take time to honor them, along with those who have become mothers with God‟s special favor. For many years, we would make recognition by wearing a red or white flowerred if mother was alive, or white if deceased. Even- tually, I believe, we have come to the conclusion mama remains alive in our hearts even if she no longer is alive. Let me take this time and say to all of the mothers and women of our church, Happy Mother‟s Day. May God bless you for your love to- ward mankind. I especially lift in prayer the many of you who have had mothers who passed in the past year. I pray God‟s strength on you as you face this first Mother‟s Day without mama. I also would like to take this time and recognize the many military service men and women who have sacrificed their lives in the name of freedom. No one can really explain what makes a soldier serve with the tenacity and determination that gives victory to The Pastor’s Corner Rev. Wayne P. Snodgrass, D. Min. the various campaigns. Whatever creates that drive, that zeal, and that love, in every soldier, we thank you for helping us to live in freedom. We have been blessed that during this war, or these wars, we have not lost a life. I pray that with the remaining months until 2012, we will not lose any. We certainly pray for the many families that can‟t have this testimony. Shortly we will be implementing a program to help servicemen and women adjust as they return from the war. It will be called, “Ministry to the Wounded War- rior.”My thanks to Colonel Cunningham and Bro White for helping to develop this ministry. God has been good to our church. Things are not where I desire, but we are alone way from where some others are. May the blessings of

God be with you as we go

forth toward the summer.

This month is another

busy month for me, and

for many parents of our

graduating students. Many

of you are reaching the

most important plateau,

high school graduation,

and others this is part of a

series of graduations in your adult life. Whatever you

do, enjoy your time and praise God for the blessing.

This is also the time America celebrates Mother‟s

Day. Each year our nation takes time to particularly

honor women who assume the role of mothers. So

many of these women don‟t have naturally born chil-

dren, but they have served to be nurturers and inspi-

ration for so many youth. We take time to honor

them, along with those who have become mothers

with God‟s special favor. For many years, we would

make recognition by wearing a red or white flower—

red if mother was alive, or white if deceased. Even-

tually, I believe, we have come to the conclusion

mama remains alive in our hearts even if she no

longer is alive. Let me take this time and say to all of

the mothers and women of our church, Happy

Mother‟s Day. May God bless you for your love to-

ward mankind. I especially lift in prayer the many of

Making a Difference in the World

(Part 6)

Do you know where our children minds are? How

many of us take time to brain storm our children

about their directions in life?

If we ask our children who are their role models,

will any of them say their parents? If not their par-

ents, will they have role models that are of a Chris-

tian character?

We are losing our children to the world. Scripture

tells us not to conform to the world but be trans-

formed by the renewing of our minds. We sure

spend quantity time molding our children spiritually

and not conforming to this electronic world.

Train a child up in the way to go and they will

grow up to help Make a Difference in This World.
