Volume 22 May 5, 2016 Eighth Graders Will Soon Bid Farewell to PJH The 8th graders are spending their last few days at PJH. They went to Topeka together yesterday for their field trip and have been celebrating in their classes. We asked them how they feel about going to high school, and this is what they said: JR. Mrs. Dusin is taking March Rotary student Jacob Sisson, and Mr. Beckman is taking Emily Schneider and Parker Dibble, the Rotary students for April and May. Congrats! Garner Shares Holocaust Knowledge Mrs. Van Der Veen invited Tracy Lynn Garner to speak to the 8th graders about the Holocaust as a part of her unit on the book Anne Frank: Diary of a Young Girl. The students really enjoyed it and learned a lot from her. "I feel excited because you're playing sports to get scholarships in college." ~Tyler Martin "I feel scared because I'm too short." ~Emmie Kenney "I am excited to be called fresh meat." ~Gabe Lamb "I feel very nervous/ excited because of all the new opportunities." ~Emily Schneider "I feel excited because I get to play high school football." ~Noah VanKooten "I feel nervous because it is a bigger school." ~Sara Davisson "Our paths may change as life goes along, but the bonds between us remain forever strong." ~8th Grade Motto

Spring Rotary Students Honored Today at Lunch

Students Show Musical Talents at Spring Concerts

On April 28 and May 2, Mr. Roth and Mr. Schick showcased their students' musical talents at the 5th/6th and 7th/8th grade vocal and band concerts. They performed beautifully and made their families and teachers proud!

Track Finishes Up 🏃

As the school year finishes up, so does track. It has been a great season filled with broken records and PR's. Way to go!

Water Rocket Launch

Mrs. Blank's students made and launched water bottle rockets in her class. It was a splashing good time!
