We all know the Bible is important. But, let’s be honest, it can be hard to understand. It’s a huge book (and it’s really 66 books!). It comes from a different time. Is it a list of rules? Is it relevant to us? How do the pieces fit together? In this series, we will look at the big picture to see the overarching story, the single drama of scripture in 6 movements: Creation, Fall, Israel, Jesus, Church, & New Creation. We will invite you to renew your reading of scripture; equip you with a better understanding of how the individual bits of the Bible fit together into a seamless whole; and inspire you to see your place in the unfolding drama of the Bible.
Week 6: February 9th – February 15th
• Exodus 16-18; Ephesians 4
• Exodus 19-21; Psalm 33; Eph. 5
• Exodus 22-24; Psalm 109; Eph. 6
• Exodus 25-27; Psalm 90; Philippians 1
• Exodus 28-31; Philippians 2

RICH ADVICE
Read 1 John 3 : 17 – 24, LB
The father of Brahms needed help, but he wouldn’t take it from his son. Leaving on a trip,
the composer said, “Father, music is the greatest
comforter. Whenever you need something to life you, take my old score of ‘Saul’ and read it.
You’ll find whatever you need.”
Later the old man was discouraged, and he looked through the old score. He found what he
needed. His son had put money between each
page. That’s love in action!
The Living Bible says, “If someone who is supposed to be a Christian has money enough to
live well, and sees a brother in need, and won’t
help him, how can God’s love be within him?” Let us stop saying we love people: let us show it
by our actions.
Prayer: Father, give me the courage to dare to
love others, to respond and run to help others.
Make me a caring, daring, giving, working
Christian: in Christ’s name. Amen.
Michael Guido’s Treasury of Illustrations
evangelism (n.) 1. The zealous preaching and dissemination of the gospel.
disseminate (v.) 1. To scatter widely, as in sowing seed.

For the Lord most high is, He is the great King of all the earth. Psalm 47 : 2

Honest or sincere faith that is not tainted by selfish desires or ungodly ambitions. We ought to be
completely honest with our Father God.
