Chapter 1

Volume II: Tangled Memories

Welcome back, Young master Chojirou.

The old butler greeted warmly his young master who just arrived from Paris. The young

master gave his small luggage to the old butler who took it with precise gentleness.

Thank you for meeting me today

Its my pleasure to serve the young master like his father. I hope that your flight was a

safe one, Chojirou sama

It was- but Im bored because of the long hours of sitting.

I see, very well I will do my best to prepare you the best food and comfort. The old

butler offered.

Thats wonderful. Thank you. Said Chojirou, Finally, he noticed that it was only the

butler who arrived to get him, Wheres Aunt Sayuri? asked Chojirou while he was lead to be

seated at the back of the familys black limousine.

My apologies young master, but the mistress wanted to come but have an important

engagement today. But she has told me that you will be escorted to the mansion and later if the

young master wishes that you could have dinner with her at the La Reve this evening.

I see, well then. Maybe after I get hold of my things and rested for a bit that I can see her

tonight.

Then I shall make a call later to inform the mistress about tonights dinner. The reliable

butler said. The car made a right turn and Chojirou recognized immediately the street turn that

they were passing.

Sasaki, am I right this is the way towards the dance studio of Aunt Sayuri? Looking at

the familiar childhood street that he knew so well in his heart; staring at it like he has been

transported back to the past.

Yes, young master. You are correct; this is the way towards the studio. The old butler

smiled. You seem to remember it so well.

In deed, I do remember it well.

How has it been young master since youve been gone? The old butler asked.

I dont know, still curiously looking over to the side of his window.Perhaps ten or

more, his reply had caused him slightly to recall someone in the past and frowned; he quickly

blocked all thoughts and suddenly remembered, Sasaki, have you seen Akihiro and Takuma

lately?

Sir, I do believe that they are right now staying at the academy. They are presently

residing at Cross Academys dorm. Kuran Kaname sama is also there at Academy studying

along side with all the young nobles.

Why do you ask young master? Do you wish me to inform them of your arrival? I could

call the headmaster of the Academy if you wish to have a pass to see them today. The old butler

offered kindly his assistance.

That is alright, please theres no need yet, Ill see them when the right time comes. But

right now, can I ask some favor from you Sasaki. Chojirou asked.

It will be my pleasure to serve the needs also of the young master.

Thank you, Sasaki. But what I need you to do is to register me back in the academy. Chojirou

requested, the old butler looked quickly at him and wondered.

You look confused Sasaki? Is there something the matter? Chojirou asked innocently.

But the old butler shook his head and said, If I may be allowed to say this has the young master

been contemplating on staying for good? Sasaki said, pleased that the young master Chojirou

was return after many years of being away. The Academy and your cousin, the young master

Takuma Ichijou will be pleased about this decision? The old butler sounded happy.

I heard that Ichijou sama and Akihiro Sama felt bad that you left so abruptly at the

academy, they have attempted to contact you before but you were not an easy one to be

persuaded young master. Recalled Sasaki after he had spoken to his friends and Chairman Cross

at that time,

Chojirou laughed, You know me so well Sasaki.

The old butler smiled, Thats because I have been serving the Kujo family for many

years, and you young master I have seen you seen since you were a young boy. You and young

masters Akihiro and Takuma kun, I know every bit of you and that is why I made that

assumption.

You got me there Sasaki. Yes, I would like to go back to the Cross Academy. Send me

the form as soon as possible. I do not want to delay anymore.

It seems that we are going to have you and the mistress for a very long time. Said the

old butler, they made a right turn and saw a few distance away the dance studio of their Aunt in

sight.

I wish no more than to return to the Academy.

Master Kuran Kaname will be also delighted to hear of your return.

I wish to see him too, I have heard of him from Akihiro for the past few months and it

seems hes still keeping himself well.

Yes indeed. But hes keeping himself too busy at the academy. Master Kuran Kaname

would be delighted to see you again after such a long time. Sasaki affirmed Chojirous wishes.

Chojirou wishes nothing more to get back on his life to the academy, he wants nothing

more than to have that peace once again. If this is what it takes to make himself calm again

towards the storm that he had gone through for the past ten years, this decision to be part of the

Academy and with his friends will do him good than to be in Paris where all things are pulling

him down after that incident three years ago. He closed his eyes and sighed heavily, letting out

the pressure that hes still have to face after all this time.

When the car was about to make its turn on the corner, the driver screeched in halt over

the breaks when a certain young girl who carelessly walked across the street. Good thing that

Sasaki was there to see that the young girl got jumpy a bit when the car stopped.

Chojirou quickly opened his eyes after the sudden break, What has happened Sasaki?

My apologies young master, but there was this foolish school girl who crossed the street,

Explained Sasaki not wanting to put another pressure on the young master anymore, Sasaki

went out of the car to approach the young miss, Sasaki stared at the young girl gently who has

got the scare of the living daylights out of her, and her childlike face turned white as a the snow.

Are you okay young miss? But the young girl didnt answer but continued to stare at

him with a fright so undeniable painted all over her face.

We are very sorry for that, are you hurt? Sasaki asked Yurie; but it seems Yurie

couldnt find her voice from the shock that silenced her voice and all she could do was nod her

head and stared the old man who seems to be saying something to her but could not understand

as if he was standing too far away from her and yet hes there right in front of her speaking to

her.

Was the girl hurt? asked Chojirou a bit irritatingly to the butler after it went back inside

the car.

No-Good thing that the girl wasnt hurt at all maybe was surprised from the sudden halt

of the car. Sasaki reasoned out.

Then if thats the case, lets proceed shall we. Chojirou ordered, he leaned back on his

seat once more and close his eyes for a bit.

My apologies once again young master The old butler ordered the driver to continue

driving the car.

While the girl passed by now safely to the other side of the road; Yurie got almost the shock of

her life when she unmindfully went across the street not realizing that a certain beautiful black

car made its turn and was fast approaching. When she noticed it, all she could ever do was to

wait for it to come; her eyes just continued to stare at the fast car and made a very loud screeched

when it made a break just barely a few centimeters away from her. Her heart was rising to death,

and all thoughts previously just flew into the air. And beyond the instant impact and the pain,

everything else turn white inside Yurie s head. And all feelings that she questioned cease to

exist in that one particular moment. When the car stopped, the driver of the car opened its

window and shouted at her for not looking properly in to the right direction.

Until something had snapped and all sound began to take its volume and right after Yurie heard

the last few words in the butlers question, Young miss you are all wet she shivered at the

air seem to get colder, I- I, I am sorry her feet started to move backward and just in time

Chojirou slightly push the button of the window near him and when it slide down a certain

fragrance entered carrying its breeze inside the car, Chojirou once more smelled that sweet scent

of the air that he used to know when he was a child, then he suddenly he heard a sweet childs

voice, a laughter of a young girl and it keeps calling his name, CHOJIROU!

Chojirou gasped aloud and quickly opened his eyes as if he was electrocuted; Sasaki saw

everything at the mirror and looked back from the front seat Young master is there something

wrong? Are you okay? he asked worriedly. Chojirou couldnt explain it himself; he placed his

hand over his chest and then covered his face. Sasaki saw pain in the young boys face, and

pitied that he couldnt do anything about the pain, he then remained silent and ignored what he

saw and like he has been trained to say and do what a butler should do spoke, Young master, it

is best that you postponed dinner with Madam and let tonight be your rest But Chojirou cut

him off, No. there was a hard tone on his voice now.

I said no. We shall go over the schedule that you already prepared for me. I would also

like to have dinner with my Aunt late this evening. Once again, there was the indifference in his

tone that he always uses when he wanted to avoid something.

As you wish young master said Sasaki.

Yurie didnt care about how wet she was continued walking as she only realized that she was

near her house when she noticed the swing at the yard in their house. Her thoughts keep coming

back to what happened to her earlier when she was about to be hit by the car.

How strange that wasIve never felt that way before like my heart was just about to leap over

my chest. placing her hands over to her chest. Yurie not wanting to look like she has seen a

ghost, poke her head Yurie, get hold of yourself!

But before she could make another step inside the house, Yurie fell off the floor and realized that

there was a transparent string attached to the sides of the door, and she knows very well could be

the perpetrator as she heard a familiar sound snickering behind the sofa and without a doubt,

Noaki and Naozumi, the twins were laughing and just like a raging fire that spewed from the

mouth of the volcano, Yurie seized the twins and like a lunatic, as if with a superhuman strength

Yurie pulled up her two brothers up in the air .

YOU LITTLE DEVILS!!!!! Yurie said in raging anger.

AHHHHHHH!!!!! shouted the twins.

This time I caught you red handed! You cannot escape now!!!! Yurie laughing devilishly as

the twin gulped looked at each other with a growing panicked was rising from their thoughts.

You idiot Naozumi, I said to cover up the string why didnt you? Noaki blamed

You should have mentioned that earlier before she came! Noazumi shouted while the two were

struggling to reach towards each other and give each other a punch.

STOPPPPP ITTTT!!!!! shouted Yurie. Ive had it with you two, You brats!!!! And now I am

so pissed off youre going to get what you deserve! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Yurie dragged

the back sleeves of the two towards the garden outside. But before she could do that, Noaki saw

a broom and threw it down in front of Yurie and before she knew it she was rolling like a piece

of heavy log with the two rolling after, as they all crashed at the rose bushes in the garden, they

didnt notice that their mother just arrived from the market. Upon seeing that half of the house

was in total wreck and her dear rose bushes were all broken and lying onto the ground.

WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY PRECIOUS GARDEN!!!!! shouted Noami.

Yurie and the twins freeze up upon seeing their very angry mother, and her rage was

totally seen on her face like a raging bull thats about to take charge of its enemy. As a result all

of them were punished.

It was already twelve at night when their mother finally let them off the hook, tending all

the ruined flowers in the garden while she sits like a jail guard whose about to strike if they make

one false mistake of escaping.

Yurie went to the bathroom and took a bath, Ahhhh so relaxing.what a long day it

was. She sighed. Yurie slipped into her robe and went back to her room, she noticed her wet

school uniform and suddenly thought of that scary incident, Yurie closed her eyes and tried not

to think about it anymore. She thought she could have died if the car didnt stop, Yurie shook her

head and said aloud, Im okayIm okay. Then noticed her bag, the envelope that Erika-sama

gave her was still there, Yurie took it out again and pulled out the paper inside. As she tried to

recall what Erika-sama said to her on that day at the ice crme parlor.

She needs my answer, what should I do? suddenly she heard something crashed

outside, Mama! she quickly went out of her room and saw her mother on the floor picking up

the pieces of broken glasses.

MAMA!! Yurie ran towards Noami. She was very pale Yurie thought, she quickly

helped her out and guided her to the chair next to her. Mama, are you okay. She asked

worriedly.

Oh dear, the glass was a bit slippery and I lost control of it. Explained her mother, but

Yurie knows that her mother was lying. For five days, she always see her mother doing extra

work when the she and the twins retreated to their room, it was accidental that she woke up one

night and saw her mother doing some extra work by peeling off the outer skin of the corn.

Dont lie to me, mama. I saw you one time. Why are you doing this? she asked

worriedly.

Her mother quite pale smiled, If I dont do this job, how am I going to send the twins to

school. Ever since your Father died, our savings have been depleted. I have to make a decision as

the head of the family now. Even though I already sold the fishing boat that your father bought it

wont suffice. We still have you to send to school.

There was a sharp pain in Yuries heart, she felt guilty that her mother has to do

everything she can and she on the other hand has nothing to give.

But mama, why didnt you tell me this before. I could have helped.

My dear child, you are still young. Besides, it is my responsibility now. I should be able

to take care of you and the twins. Her mother reasoned out.

But Yurie disagreed, No! I am also a part of this family. I have to do something to. How

selfish am I not to know this thing; mama, I can help you. I can quit my ballet lesson.

Dont say such things, Yurie. Youre father wants you to fulfill your dreams as a

ballerina.

Yurie stood up in front of her mother and cried, Ma, how can you say that when you are

suffering alone. I am also a part of this family. I am the eldest, you should also rely on me and

trust me just like Father.Upon saying that, her mother cried the hardest and Yurie went towards

her mother and embraced her.

I am here mama, I can do something now. After sometime, her mother calmed down.

Yurie finished it up for mother while she sent her to bed. It was almost two in the morning when

she finally put on the last corn in the sack. Closing the door of her room she could finally settle

down and go to sleep. But unfortunately her mind kept reverting to what happened a few hours

ago. I need to do something. Yurie said to herself. And just when she was about to turn off the

lights, she noticed again the envelope that Erika-sama gave her. And knew what it needs to be

done.

And before she turns off the lights, Yurie placed the paper inside the envelope and went

to sleep with full hope that things will be alright for her tomorrow.

Later that evening, Chojirou finally arrived at the Kujo mansion; Sasaki got out first and opened

the door for his young master. The elegance of the old mansion dates back to the time of the

King Louie the XIV, every piece of objects were priceless and some have been handed down

from generation to generation. Chojirou stepped out of the car and stared at the mansion which

he knows so well. And what was more interesting is that the line up of all servants dressed in

black and white hasnt change that much.

Sasaki led the way and all of the servants lined up at the entrance of the house bowed

upon seeing him saying:Welcome home, Ojuisama!

It hasnt changed much Sasaki. Looking at the interior of the house of his childhood,

the grand staircase, the large painting which dates back even before the time that the mansion

was built, the furniture all of it, theyre all reflection of his familys generation and its wealth

that comes along with it

Another young male servant approached Sasaki who handed him a letter, but before he

could open it, somebody from the lounge room appeared.

I see so youve returned already.

Like always, he was always ahead of everything, Chojirou frowned at the sight of his elder

brother Ryu, his regal looked is as almost the same as Chojirou, his stature is now the same as of

Chojirou, both brothers were undeniably the most handsome and eligible bachelor of their clan

and with the power that their family had gain, it is without a doubt that all women whom they

meet, will fall on their feet. Especially now that Ryu had already gain the trust and popularity

among the council of elders which in Chojirous opinion were nothing like crazy dogs of the

vampire world and he has no wish to take part of their crazy scheme. But knowing his father and

his brother, who has the same ideal, he would rather lock himself up in the academy and seek a

peaceful existence of his forever life.

Aniki, what are you doing here? there was a note of annoyance in his tone.

But Ryu chuckled, lightened up will you, I havent seen you in a very long time. I just wanted

to make sure that you arrived safely

Ha, who are you kidding, when did you ever made a point to ensure my welfare?

Chojirou said with a sarcastic tone. Ryu approached his younger brother and smile as if

unaffected by steal in his voice went even closer to him and placed his hands over his younger

brothers shoulder.

You havent change at all, I see that now! Hahahahaha..Thats very good, still the

cold and distant kid you are Chojirou. patting his head like a puppy while Chojirou was glaring

at him.

Will you stop doing that! Chojirou said irritatingly.

Sasaki smiled at the two brothers who rarely seen each other, I see that master Ryu has

come to pay a visit to the young masters arrival.

Ryu smiled at the old butler who had been in the family for many years, Hello, Sasaki, I

specifically came by to greet this little brat brother of mine back home but it seems to me that he

doesnt like to be greeted at all- at least not from his older brother. till sounding affectionate

towards his brother who was looking truly like an irritated puppy beside his brother patting him

on the head.

Chojirou knew that he was being teased again but its useless he thought, nothing could ever

make him go back to the way things have been in the family.

Why the hell are you here anyway? Chojirou once again asked Ryu pouting.

Like I said, I came here to greet you welcome. Isnt this an appropriate way to greet a

member of a family who has been gone for a very long time? Right, Saski?

Indeed, master Ryu. Said the old butler, but Chojirou is no fool, he sensed that there

was more to it than just a welcoming him back to the mansion. All of them entered the lounge

area and Sasaki like always poured in a drink to the two young masters of the house.

Will master Ryu be grazing us towards dinner time with the young master?

But Chojirou cut him off, No- he wont be staying long after taking a sip of the alcohol that

was offered to him. Although it seems that Ryu wasnt totally affected to the display of behavior

Chojirou was showing him. Ryu grin secretly- and thought, somehow he has never got over that

anger towards him.

Oh, hes right Sasaki, I have no intention of staying over dinner since I have a meeting

with the council this evening. explained Ryu.

The master has been very dedicated towards your role, your father mustve been proud

of you and your achievement in the council.

Chojirou hated hearing that word, he quickly drank his fill and slammed the wine glass

on the bar, but Ryu ignored his reaction and instead politely answered the old butlers comment.

Well- I dont know about that, I have been working apart from father and his work is none that I

have achieved yet. But more or less, I have done what it needs to be done in the council; I want

to settle any dispute from the hunters and the council as much as possible.

For as young as you are master Ryu, you have are truly deserving of your achievement

in the council. Ryu smiled at the sincere comment given by the old butler of the family.

You still believe that the old council is still working towards its goal, thats bullshit!

Chojirou spatted.

I think I do, yes, at least for me.

Dont be blind Anikii, they are just using the name of the council those dogs who only

wants nothing more than to gain something profitable for themselves, it is way too far from your

own ideals, so dont waste your precious time with those dogs.

Ryu walk towards his brother and said, If you really think and feel that way, then why

dont you help me out in the council. Its time that you entered the arena. You are already

eighteen and father has been requesting you for such a very long time. Placing his hands over

the right shoulder of Chojirou but his brother shoved it off.

I dont care about the council nor do I care about what father wants me to be. I think you

of all people know that I will continually refuse to be part of that scheme. Remember, it was also

the council that but Chojirou stopped and clenched his fist.

Ryu couldnt do anything or blamed his younger brother for acting and feeling that way towards

him but it has been such a long time. Chojirou- dont you think youre being unreasonable here?

For how long are you going to be like that towards, remember you are much as part of this

family and heritage as much as I am? You cannot deny that.

Im sorry I cant do thatand as for being part of this family, that was once unfortunate

reality that even I cant get away from no matter how I wish it otherwise.

Ryu suddenly wanted to punch his younger brother but let out a heavy sigh; He thought

that being far away from the family would make things better for him, that the raging wolf would

have calmed down eventually. But it seems it hasnt, it was his mistake to ever let him go that

day, that very night with so much hate in his eyes. Ryu smiled , clenched his fist and let out a

heavy sigh. He thought, nothing will come out of this meeting today. But hopefully it will have

some positive result one day.

Suddenly Sasaki appeared again sensing a little tension inside the room, master Ryu, the

secretary of the council just called in to say that the members have already gathered.

Ah, I almost forgot, I have to go now thank you Sasaki for taking that call. said Ryu,

while the old butler helped him out put on his coat.

By the way, where is Aunt Sayuri? I havent seen her for awhile

Madam has some people to meet at the conservatory today, she and young master

Chojirou would be having dinner at the La Reve tonight. Why dont you join them as well.

suggested the old butler.

Thats sounds wonderful but I cant right now I have some important meeting. But

please do tell her that I wish to have coffee with her some time soon. Perhaps the three of us

could have some old family chat. Ryu smiled.

Madam would be delighted with that invitation. I will certainly tell her about that...

Sasaki answered while Chojirou remained quiet.

Madam Sayuri called in to say that shes at the La Reve waiting. But looking at the young

master who wasnt really listening to him, as if he was confused, there was certainly a different

emotion showing on their young masters face.

If you are ready I would immediately send for the car outside. Please do excuse me.

The butler left Chojirou still standing at the balcony looking up in the night sky. He then moved

back inside and closed the window door.

Once again before he left the mansion, the servants were waiting for him outside and

bowed upon seeing him leave the place. Sitting at the back of the car, he pushed the button of the

automatic window slides down, that despite the fact those odd occurrences happened to him

twice, there was nothing unpleasant about it at all, Chojirou wondered. In fact, as soon as the

window slide down almost half of it, he welcomed the breeze coming through but the sweet

scent that he smelled awhile ago wasnt there at all. And this made him wonder if it was just a

dream that he felt those things or not.

Arriving at this posh hotel, the attendant greeted him and a tall young man wearing a

black suit the concierge bowed before him and led him towards the hotels restaurant, Chojirou

was led to a certain table away from the common area where all hotels guest dine, and a special

table where placed near the balcony over looking the sea. And there sitting, a very beautiful

woman with her slender should and elegant looks that it was no mistaking that this is his aunt,

still looking at her best for a woman who is already in her three hundred fifty year old mistakenfor in her forties. She was seriously smoking her thin pipe and when she gave a puff a smoke in

the air turn up and smiled widely at Chojirou who were already approaching their table.

My dear handsome boy, how have you been? who would ever thought that this

autocratic woman would suddenly act like this towards Chojirou.

Chojirou smiled widely at his favorite aunt, who got up and held him so tightly, and

much to his utmost surprise Chojirou felt her hand slide down his bottom and squeeze him,

Chojirou jolted at the touch and pushed away his mischievous aunt who was already grinning at

him. You damn, perverted four hundred year old woman!

She grabbed him again and this time squeezes him tightly in embrace, who would have

thought that this elegant woman has strength of wrestler. Agggghhh. Chojirou was gasping

for air, What did you say? Aunt Sayuri continually assaulting him using her strength,

attempting to kiss him, Chojirou pushed away her face and she fell sitting down on her chair.

Damn you! I said I couldnt breath. Massaging his neck, you old woman, youve

gotten stronger, what have you been doing lately, huh, lifting weights?

Sayuri laughing at his handsome but obstinate nephew, the son of his equally obstinate

father her brother, whom she detests so much; but apparently she and his sons get along unlike

their father; she then lit another cigar and puffs another smoke in the air.

For your information I am only three hundred fifty years old. I am still at my prime.

Never forget that.

I think youre the ones forgetting it, old lady. Whisphered Chojirou to himself while

regaining his cool self again.

What did you say? Aunt Sayuri asked.

Oh nothing. Answered Chojirou who sat down and a waiter suddenly appeared beside

him and poured him a glass of wine then to the glass of his Aunt.

You still smoke? irritated at the puffing of smoke being released from the mouth of his

Aunt.

My, my, dear boy, you sound like an old man. She said and blew another one this time

toward Chojirou,

Am I crazy or what here, I think I made a mistake meeting you after I just got back from

Paris. Chojirou grabbed his glass and took a sip of his wine.

So hows Paris? asked Sayuri,

Nothing has changed if thats what you mean. Suddenly the merry atmosphere

changed and the look in her nephew changed as well.

So what made you decide to leave you cave? I thought you wouldnt want to see the

outside world.

They started serving dinner and Aunt Sayuri raised her glass for another pour of wine.

There was nothing left to see in Paris, still the same as ever, and as for the outside world I have

no interest in it too as well, doesnt hold anything good for me.

Pffftt. Hahahahahahahaha!!!!!! laughing out loud, some of the customer started to look

at them that made Chojirou feel embarrassed at his companion.

ashamed at his Aunt, Youve stayed in the most romantic of all places in the world, the city of

Love and yet it became a city of disaster and hatred for you.

Chojirou was fuming quietly over his seat for thinking this old lady in front of him has

lost all sense of classiness in her vampire blood.

What did really happen to you back their in Paris Chojirou? trying now to be serious in

front of her nephew who started slicing his lamb on his plate.

Nothing. and started eating the food from his plate.

What do you mean nothingI have known you since you were in the crib of Arisa

chan,and if there is one thing that I can easily say about you when you say nothing it means

something. So why dont you just cut the chase here and tell this most beautiful, elegant and

quite popular Aunt of yours what really happened to you to retreat in Paris like some monks.

But Chojirou didnt speak at all, for him, this is not the right time for him to be thinking

about the past anymore. Whats important is the present and thats why he needs to leave Paris

and that safety manor house owned by the family for such a long time.

Alright I wont force you to speak about it but does Soujirou knows that youre already

back?

Who cares if he knows or not, besides Aniki had already knows so he must have known

too, nothing escapes that old geezers ear and sight.

Thats definitely true he was a nuisance to me as he is now towards you, his very own

Youve been fighting Souichirou for such a long time, I thought after youve been away

Chojirou kept eating the food in front of him, He might be the most unbearable creature of the

I didnt decide to go back and leave my sanctuary because I want to make up with that

young girl towards the young Chojirou, then she looked up with an apologetic face.

I am sorry my little brother wonders off so easily. Chojirou smiled at the young girl

and patted the young boys head, Its alright. Just then Chojirous aunt came out and called out

his name, the young boys face lit up and asked Youre name is Chojirou too?

And who is this cute little devil clinging on to you? acting like a jealous lover which irritated

Chojirou again, and for some reason the little boy scowled at Sayuri which surprised both him

and his sister.

Get your hands off him! ordered Sayuri to the little boy. But the young boy continued

to scowl at her and said, You get your hands off him, old woman.

Chojirou wanted to laugh that a little could prick the temper of his Aunt.Susshsh,

Chojirou apologize to old lady.

You are! the little boy said without flinching at the surging anger that Sayuri was

showing towards the little Chojirou.

Suddenly the parents of the children came out and upon seeing the chaos saw their

children with Chojirou and where surprised to see Sayuri exchanging words from the little boy.

The parents apologized to Sayuri who accepted it with an air of haughtiness and left with their

children, but quickly the boy waved back at Chojirou and called out, Hope we can meet.

Chojirou nodded but when the little one looked at Sayuri it stuck its tongue at her, which

made his aunt furious again and made Chojirou laughed out loud.

Believe me I dont know what parents nowadays are teaching their children, how odd

that you looked surprised when you heard the boys name was being called. And you looked like

you were expecting to see a ghost.

No, I wasnt waiting for someone to see. Chojirou said evasively. He looked up again

and felt that this day on the first day of his arrival everythings been getting weird on him as if

the moon was making an inside joke, a game that he doesnt want to play yet.

Well whatever the reason that boy seems to have a liking on you, its a bit strange since

you hardly had any contact with anyone when you left.

Now at the car riding home with his aunt beside him at the back, without thinking much

he pushed the window button and it went down, no matter how strange the event was to him

today, he cant help but recall that scent and that voice of that young girl whom he almost

thought he knows but couldnt recall her face, nor her name.

You dont look well, Chojirou, you should take a rest immediately, heres a tablet just in

case you feel like it. A small metal box containing tablets that all vampires drink in replacement

of the real one; it was the one that saved him during those hunger times when he was getting out

of control.

Dont worry my dear child; everythings going to be fine. Honestly, I missed having you

around at the mansion. You should have come home much earlier.

They were once again at the mansion, greeted by the servants waiting for them; Sasaki

was already at the entrance welcoming them at their arrival. As both he and his aunt retreated to

Everything else was alright after he got back today, but that occurrences been happening to him

as soon as he returned was very strange, as if it wants to show something to him. Could it be its

part of his memory that he had already forgotten?

So many questions and all left an unanswered, Argghhh! scratching his head, Whys

that image and that voice kept coming back to me? asking himself aloud. He went back to bed

and laid down for the day, the sun was already shining at four in the morning and sleep was

about to envelope him while the last thought in his mind was once again that little voice of that
