Last week we celebrated Harmony Day by dressing in orange. The SRC distributed Jelly cups at lunchtime as a treat. Harmony Day celebrates Australia’s cultural diversity. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone. Children decorated traced hands and created a beautiful Harmony Day display. A huge thank you to Mrs Forde for coordinating the day.
This week we have a lot of events happening. Mr Kilby will be accompanying students to the Peachey Shield on Tuesday, which will be a fabulous day of football.
Students from Stage 3 and a few lucky year 4 students will be travelling to Sydney to view the “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” stage production with Mrs Joyce, Miss Robinson and Mr Martens. They will have a very early start in the morning and arrive home in the evening. A huge thankyou to Mrs Joyce for organising this unique activity for our students.
On Friday the Zoomobile will visit our school at 1:30. This will bring students nose to nose with some of our country's most stunning wildlife. During a visit students will be able to meet, learn about and interact with native animals, and be encouraged to take positive action for wildlife.
Later this week I will be travelling to a Primary Principals meeting in Queanbeyan. It is a great opportunity for professional learning and networking with other Principals.
If students forget to bring a hat they will not be able to play at recess
Please Note — Change of Times
Due to our Taronga Zoomobile performance for K-4
students at 1.30pm this Friday, we will be moving our
Whole School Assembly to 12.00 - 12.30pm and then
students will have lunch from 12.30 - 1.20pm ready for
the performance at 1.30pm.
Don’t forget your permission note and payment to attend.

Make Online Payments
It is now possible for parents to make online payments
to the school for amounts owing for students, via a secure
payment page hosted by Westpac. Payments can be made using either a Visa or MasterCard credit or debit card, and can be made via computer, tablet
or mobile phone. The payment page is accessed from the front page of the school’s website by selecting $ Make a payment.
Items that can be paid include voluntary school contributions, subject contributions, excursions, sales to students and creative and
practical arts activities (these include band, drama and dance). There is also a category called ‘Other’ to cover items not covered in the previous head-
ings, ‘Other’ can be used to make a complete payment of a school Statement of Account.
When you access the $ Make a payment you must enter:
the students name
class
date of birth
These details are entered each time you make a payment as student information is not held within the payment system.
This is a secure payment system hosted by Westpac to ensure that your credit/debit card details are captured in a secure manner, these details are not
passed back to the school.
You have the ability to check and change any details of the payment before the payment is processed. Receipts can be emailed and/or printed.
Details of the payments are passed daily to the school where they will be receipted against your child’s account. As a receipt has been issued from the
payment page a further receipt will not be issued by the school.
For any enquiries regarding the online payment process please contact the School Administration Office.
We have had some cases of School sores please read the information below. Impetigo (School sores) Symptoms—Small red spots change into blisters that fill up with pus and become crusted; usually on the face, hands or scalp.
School or home? Keep home from school until one day after antibiotic treatment starts. Sores and blisters should be covered with watertight dressings until all blisters have dried up.
How can I help prevent spread? Parents of children who may have had contact with impetigo should look for signs of infection and seek treatment if symptoms develop.
Careful hand washing especially after changing dressings. Avoid sharing toilet articles, towels, clothing or bed linen. Consider using anti-bacterial soap for bathing for two to three weeks. Avoid scratching or touching the lesions to prevent spread to other parts of the body.
Completing the recommended antibiotic course is very important.

P &C Easter Egg Raffle Once again this year the P & C will conduct a chocolate raffle in
conjunction with the Easter Hat Parade.
Our Easter Hat Parade is scheduled for Friday 12th April at 2.00pm and will be held under the COLA. All students will have the opportunity to make
Easter hats at school beforehand.
For this raffle, we ask for donations of Easter themed goodies (baskets/toys/books/ lollies
decorations/chocolates etc...which we will bundle up for drawing at the Easter Hat Parade.
It proves to be a very exciting raffle for students, and a nice way to break for the Easter holidays.
We are now accepting both non- perishable donations of baskets, stuffed toys etc as well as easter egss. Donations can be left at the office . We will be counting the contributions from each class and there will be a prize for the class that brings the most Easter goodies in. Kinder are winning at the moment.
Raffle ticket books will be distributed shortly.
Don’t forget donations of small glass jars for
Mother’s Day Stall would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
