The dual system integrates

• work based learning and

• school based learning

to prepare apprentices for full-time employment.



Vocational education and training (VET) has a key economic function in

up-skilling and integrating young people into the labour market and

in providing high quality technical skills.

BüE vocational training in educational organizationes (BA)

• completely financed by the BA

• for young people who are not able to work in a company, with boarding school

• working and learning in this organization

• with chamber examination



Financial support for integration into employment (BA)

• amount of money to companies if they employ disadvantaged (3 month – 3 years)

• socio-pedagogic support during vocational training



Vocational qualification prospects (BMBF)

• to improve vocational training opportunities

• offer of second-chance qualifications
