to 07-09-2020. The title of his thesis is “Silage quality and yield of some corn hybrids and integrated nutrient management of a corn-soybean forage system”. All the faculty members and students are welcomet o read/consult the thesis.

2. PhD thesis of Miss Shumaila Fatima, Regd. No. 2013-ag-93, will be placed in the office of the Chairman, Department of Chemistry for one week (31-08-2020 to 07-09-2020) prior its submission for foreign evaluation. The faculty and the students are invited to peruse the thesis for any suggestions/corrections. The suggestions received if any will be incorporated through the supervisory committee. The title of his thesis is “Integrated Management of Citrus Dieback caused by the involvement of Colletorichum gloeosporioides and Citrus Nematode (Tylenchulus semipenetrans Cobb.)”. The observations/suggestions received as a result of peer-review will be incorporated in the final thesis submission to Controller of Examinations for further processing.

6. PhD thesis of Mr. Waqas Iqbal, Regd. No. 2005-ag-1946, entitled “Allelopathic Effects of Poplar (Populus deltoids. L) and Simal (Bombax ceiba. L) on wheat” will be placed in the office of Chairman, Department of Forestry & Range Management for one week. i.e. from 01-09-2020 to 07-09-2020. 7. PhD thesis of Mr. Waqar Ahmad, Regd. No. 2008-ag-2108 a student of Institute of Soil and Environmental Sciences, UAF will be placed in Director’s office w.e.f. 04-09-2020 to 10-09-2020 (one week). The title of his thesis is “Differential response of mung bean genotypes by coinoculation of Rhizobium and PGPR under salt affected soils”. All academic staff/students are welcomed to read/consult and give suggestions to incorporation of these suggestions.

8. PhD thesis of Ms. Ayesha Abdul Qadir, Regd. No. 2010-ag-2672, a student of the Institute of Soil and Environmental Sciences UAF will be placed in Director’s office w.e.f. 02-09-2020 to 09-09-2020. The title of her thesis is “Physiological response of rice and wheat to salinity/sodicity in texturally different soils during reclamation”. All academic Staff/students are welcomed to read/consult and give suggestions so that thesis will be improved according with incorporation of these suggestions.

9. Mr. Umar Iftikhar Khan, Regd. No. 2005-ag-1827, PhD student of the Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics placed his PhD thesis entitled “Gene expression analysis of NF-Y transcription factors for drought tolerance in Triticum aestivum L.” for peer review for one week from 04-09-2020 in the Library, Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics. The faculty and students are invited to pursue the thesis for any correction and improvement please.

10. PhD thesis of Sidra Altaf, Regd. No. 2012-ag-1119, a PhD student of Pharmacology will be placed in the office of Director, Institute of Physiology and Pharmacology for one week w.e.f. 31-08-2020 to 04-09-2020 and 07-09-2020 to 08-09-2020. The title of her thesis is “Detexification of organophosphate using biomimetic nanosponge”. All intereted persons are invited for their favorable suggestions.

11. Hafiz Faisal Riaz, Regd. No. 2007-ag-1947, PhD student of the Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics placed his PhD thesis entitled “Genetic analysis of newly developed Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) lines for achene yield and oil quality for hybrid development” for peer review for one week from 01-09-2020 in the Library, Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics. The faculty and students are invited to pursue the thesis for any correction and improvement.

12. PhD thesis of Miss. Sahar Jameel, Regd. No. 2009-ag-2466, a PhD student of Plant Pathology will be placed in the office of Chairman for peer review from 02-09-2020 to 09-09-2020. The title of his thesis is “Molecular characterization of pathogens causing Grey Mold in Strawberry and its Management”. The title of her thesis is “Fruit Quality and Storability of Strawberries in Relation to Harvest and Postharvest Techniques ”.
