2017 was another record year for NEXUS. We started the year by earning the first ever Part 143 Air Agency Certificate issued by GACA for the NEXUS Academy. We are a company of “firsts” and the Part 143 Certificate comes just as we are poised for the rapid expansion of our aviation training business. It is a great feather in our training cap. We signed two joint ventures in China to establish NEXUS Academies whose classrooms will start to fill in 2018. In February, we received the mandate of Rwandan President H.E. Paul Kagame to launch a full-service NEXUS Academy in Rwanda, and the first class will commence early in the new year. Finally, we participated in the Saudi Higher Education and Career Fair in Riyadh and Jeddah this year, and met hundreds of young Saudis interested in aviation careers. We are truly the embodiment of Saudi Vision 2030!

In 2017, we continued to provide professional aviation services to those at the highest levels of government and industry, and this has been truly rewarding work for NEXUS. Meeting and exceeding the expectations of some of the world’s busiest and most demanding leaders and executives is a challenge that we enjoy immensely at NEXUS. We look forward to expanding these relationships in 2018.

We were pleased to see the growth of our aircraft management business in 2017, marked by the very exciting addition of a state-of-the-art Boeing 787 to our managed aircraft fleet. Our ability to provide customized, private, safe and secure services to our clients sets us apart and helped us to win this aircraft in a crowded market of service providers. We also forged a relationship with the global aviation innovator, VistaJet, to ensure that their exquisite fleet of Bombardier Globals and Challengers is available to Saudi citizens under block hour or ad hoc arrangements.

As I look ahead to 2018, I see the next generation of aviation professionals filling NEXUS Academy classrooms in Saudi Arabia, Rwanda and China. I see us continue to deliver unequalled service to leaders from the public and private sectors. On the heels of winning the 787 aircraft for our management business, we will emphasize aircraft management and hope to earn the trust of additional aircraft owners. We plan on creating a service hub for this business in Dubai, as a reflection of its global nature. We are also excited by the launch this year of an innovative, capable and user-friendly cloud-based technology platform by our subsidiary, Wyvern, that will take quality, safety and risk management to a new level for professional flight departments worldwide.

So, fasten your seatbelts, as 2018 promises to be another record-breaking year for NEXUS! And, as always, if I can be of service to you in the new year, please contact me directly. I look forward to hearing from you.

As we head into a new year, I wanted to take the opportunity to reflect on the accomplishments of 2017 and look ahead to 2018 and the expectations we have for NEXUS for the new year. But first, let me begin with an acknowledgment of what truly motivates us at NEXUS, and that is our customers. We feel so privileged to work for clients at the top of government and industry, and to be able to make tangible contributions to our great nation, Saudi Arabia, and to the individual nations of our global clientele. At NEXUS, we believe that delivering service excellence is what propels our company forward and drives our growth.

NewAIRCRAFT MANAGEMENT

To this end, NEXUS is focused on growing its aircraft management business. At the end of 2017, the company achieved another “first” by winning the management of a Boeing Business Jet 787 Dreamliner, the world’s most advanced wide-body aircraft. “We are very excited to add the BBJ 787 Dreamliner to our managed fleet”, said Abdullah M. Al-Sayed, “and we are grateful for and humbled by the opportunity to deliver the NEXUS standard of service to one of our most important clients. While there are many companies that provide aircraft management, this customer chose NEXUS because of our commitment to quality, privacy, security and safety. That is what makes me especially proud.”

When NEXUS provides comprehensive aircraft management to its clients, it ensures that every aspect of the customer’s journey is professionally arranged. The company has made significant investments in personnel, technology and training to deliver its high-quality services. In personnel, NEXUS has assembled a leadership team with hundreds of cumulative years of professional aviation experience with many of the leading firms throughout the world. Its investment in technology, with its world-class flight operations centers, robust flight planning software and state-of-the-art risk management platform, ensures that every flight runs smoothly and safely. Finally, its ongoing investment in training results in a team of customer-focused experts that specialize in each of the many disciplines required to ensure an excellent experience from start to finish, regardless of origin and destination.

Aircraft Management has always been a key offering from NEXUS and our roster of elite aircraft owners continues to grow. It is well documented that companies that own a private aircraft financially outperform those that do not. Further, private aircraft offer a level of security and confidentiality that is not available on the commercial airlines. Finally, private aircraft depart and arrive on their owner’s schedule, not on an airline’s schedule, and you never have to “arrive at the airport three hours early” or stand in lengthy security lines.

The company employs its own meteorology team, with 24/7 weather forecasting around the globe and is a IS-BAO Stage III operator, one of the very few who hold this advanced safety and quality designation. While a NEXUS customer may never see any of these behind-the-scenes experts, they experience the desired outcome; a safe and pleasant journey, whether for business or leisure.

In 2018, NEXUS will focus on growing its aircraft management business. We will continue to develop our global aircraft management hub in Dubai, where the business environment is conducive to aircraft ownership and residency. We plan to implement several service improvements that our clients are requesting, such as simple, easy to read invoices and a single point of contact for travel arrangements. If you currently own a private aircraft or plan to acquire one in the future, consider NEXUS for your professional aircraft management needs.
