Bids AwardedApproved the bids/purchases for:

• Digital site license for Flocabulary and The Week in Rap from Flocabulary, Inc.;• Spanish and English books for prekindergarten students from Booksource and

Benchmark Education Company; and • Door replacement at Haltom High School from Dallas Door and Supply

Company.

Approved the annual license renewal for eBooks for secondary students from OverDrive.

Approved the agreement for elevator service and maintenance from ThyssenKrupp Elevator Corporation.

Approved the final payment to E-Logic, Inc. for asbestos abatement at North Richland Middle School.

Approved the final payment to Myelyn Contractors, LLC for painting at Snow Heights Elementary.

Approved ratification of the purchase of aluminum ramps for portables at North Richland Middle School and Watauga Elementary.

Approved the bids/purchases for: (Monies for these projects will come from 2014 Bond funds.)

• Cabling and network equipment for multiple locations from Insight Public Sector.

BISD students will attend school for a half day on Wednesday, Sept. 21. High school students will be

dismissed at 11:30 a.m.; elementary students at 12:10 p.m.; and middle school students at 12:40 p.m. Prekindergarten and PPCD morning students will attend from 8:10 a.m. to

10:10 a.m., and afternoon students will attend from 10:10 a.m. to 12:10 p.m.
