Adobe Acrobat DC It’s a Software package that allow the users to create, edit, print, manage, review and in-sign PDF documents in reliable and consistent manner.
There is a several major component of Adobe Acrobat DC
1- Adobe Acrobat DC: allows you to customize your document on desktop.
2- Adobe Document Cloud: Create and export documents, collect electronic signatures
3- Adobe Acrobat Reader DC: Read, print and sign PDF files.

Fill out and save forms with Acrobat Reader DC
The built-in Fill & Sign tool automatically recognizes whether your PDF has fillable form fields or not and takes you to an intuitive filling experience to get the job done quickly and easily. With a fillable form, it’s easy to type your answers or select from drop-down lists, then save your completed form.
To use this tool you, Navigate to the left side of the windows to an option named: Fill & sign or hit on the Tools tab and look for the Fill & sign tool and press on it.
Once you choose this sign you can click on any part of the document and you can start inserting the text that you want from the keyboard.
Sign Documents and forms electronically with Acrobat Reader DC
Fill & Sign tool makes it easy to sign documents and forms. Just open any PDF file, sign by typing or drawing your signature, or using an image.

Update Adobe Reader DC Updating Adobe reader DC helps you to keep up to date with the newest releases of the software and fix the previous version bugs.
On Adobe Reader Main Menu hit on Help
Then Press on check for Updates.
You will get an Information message to tell you if there are any updates available. SIU servers install the updates for the Adobe Reader DC automatically on all the in campus machines.

Common issue asking to update Adobe Reader DC
This issue happens when you try to open PDF file using the internet browser, usually internet browser as able to open a limited formats of PDF files but this does not mean that the internet browser is able to run all PDF files. You need to use Adobe reader to run the PDF files correctly and to be able to use the functionalities of it.
So every time when you want to open a PDF file you have to save it first on your hard drive before running it which always Adobe reader to be able to see the file and open it.

So when you find on a website a PDF file that you want to open, right click on it as follows
Hit on Save link as…

After you hit on Save link as, the following pop up will appear:
Save the file and then Navigate to the destination where you saved the file in and double Click on it.

How to Make Adobe Reader you default PDF
1) Go to any PDF file and right click on it as the following snapshot
2) Click on open with then hit on Choose default Program

3) Choose Adobe reader DC and make sure that the checkbox that says “Always use the selected program to open this kind of file“ is ticked.
