He produces all resources of farming at his own farm starting from seed to FYM,

He packs the fresh vegetables in pallets and sells them to the Reliance Fresh, Mother Dairy and to fresh fruits and vegetable stores. His System of farming is very unique and integrated in all aspects, starting from production, processing to marketing. In his attempt to help his neighbours, he purchases their produce at a premium over minimum support price for processing unit. His different units of farm are united and named as ‘Shimla Farm’. ‘Aterna’ is now a well known name in the state and union territory in Delhi for baby corn, mushroom, broccoli, sweet corn and tomato through organic cultivation.

Mr. Chauhan has received Chaudhary Devi Lal vermi-compost, bio-fertilizer, bio-gas and practices drip Kisan Purashkar, Innovative Farmer Award, Udhyan & sprinkler irrigation. He produces baby corn, sweet Rattan Award, Rajiv Gandhi Award, N. G. Ranga corn, mushroom, broccoli, tomato, wheat, rice and Award, Progressive Farmers Award, Sonipat Rattan also having a dairy unit. Department of Animal Biotechnology organised a 21 days hands on training course on "Molecular Diagnostics and Bioinformatics Tools" from 17 July to 6 August, 2012 with Dr. Trilok Nanda (Prof and Head, ABT) as Course Director and Dr. Sushila Maan as Course- Coordinator. In this training programme there were a total of 13 participants coming from various branches of science and from different institutions across India.

Smt. Varsha Marathe, Advisor,World Bank, other team membes and Dr. Arjun Singh Saini, ADG, Horticulture, visited poly house of a progressive farmer Sh. Rajesh in Village Rihod, Distt. Panchkula on June 13 ,2012. Mr. Rajesh is cultivating cucurbits on about 4000 (M2 area). The World Bank Team appreciated the efforts of Mr. Rajesh and hoped that protected cultivation could be more profitable to other farmers in Haryana State.

Training was imparted to the participants in various molecular diagnostics and bioinformatics tools including purification of genetic material of pathogens from a variety of clinical samples, cDNA synthesis and sequencing techniques and analysis of sequence data using various bioinformatics tools. There was a very positive feedback from our participants about this training course.
