Message from Head of The

Department

We are glad to announce eighteenth issue of

our newsletter for academic year 2016-2017

aimed to closer interactions and enrich our

student’s talent and efforts. The objective of

the newsletter is to mainly focus on the

achievements of the students and faculty

members of computer engineering

department in curricular, co-curricular and

extra-curricular activities.

Program Educational Objectives

To prepare the candidate for a

successful career in the industry and

make him acquainted with the latest

software and hardware

To enable student to work productively

as computer engineers, including

supportive teamwork and leadership

roles on multidisciplinary teams.

Graduates are prepared to be responsible

computing professionals in their own

area of interest.

To provide the candidate with a sound

foundation in mathematics, software

technologies, database technologies,

networking, hardware and to prepare

them for post graduate studies and

research programs.

To promote the awareness of lifelong

learning among students and to

introduce them to professional ethics

and codes of professional practice.

Department Events

1. Seminar on Hackathon ( 6th Jan17)

The seminar on “Hackathon” was

organized on 06th Jan2017 an interesting

session delivered by Mr. Gupta.

Hackathons are proving grounds for

new ideas. They’re especially good

tools to stimulate the creative and

problem-solving juices of developers.

2. Workshop on Nurture (16th Jan

2017)

Mrs. Alka Purohit conducted “Nurture”

workshop for SE students.

The main objective behind conducting

this workshop is overall personality

development of SE students. They will

understand their own strength and

weakness, improve communication

skill.

3. Seminar on Higher Studies (Foreign

Exchange Program (19th Jan 2017)

Mr. Jupin conducted seminar on higher

studies. Objective of this seminar to

aware students about significance of

higher studies to build their

professional carrier. Also, discussed

about role of higher studies for

different carrier opportunities

4. Seminar on Bigdata (25th Jan 17)

Mr. Pranjal Muley delivered the

seminar on Big Data. Big Data gives

knowledge about how to store, process

& access large volume of both

structured and unstructured data. To

enable students to have skills that will

help them to solve complex real-world

problems in for decision support. Also,

provided knowledge about Hadoop Big

Data technology.

5. Seminar on Sub Conscious Mind (1st

Feb 17)

Mrs. Rohini Gupta conducted seminar

on Sub Conscious Mind. In this seminar

students does meditation and understand

the ability to heal yourself from the

inside out.

Students had learnt new techniques and

skills for career & how to apply

concepts from courses to “real life”

situations.

6. Workshop on Latex (17th Feb 2017)

The workshop on Latex was organized

on 17th Feb 2017. The objective of this

workshop is to provide in depth

knowledge about uses of latex software.

7. Workshop on Cloud Computing (3rd

March 17)

The Prof. Bhushan Jadhav conducted

the workshop on Cloud Computing.

The objective of this seminar is to

provide in-depth knowledge about

cloud computing, Cloud services,

deployment models.

8. STTP on Big Data Analysis using

Hadoop (29th May 17 to 2nd June 17 )

The prof. Likhesh Kolhe conducted the

STTP on Big Data for faculty gives

knowledge about how to store, process

and access large volume of both

structured and unstructured data.
