1. SummaryGearing appears to be in useable condition. Some corrosion is present in lube oil passages in the housing. Spray bars are internally clean.

2. Work performed (by service engineer):Visual inspection through inspection covers. Borescope inspection of internal oil passages and sides of sleeve bearings.

5. Recommendations (SEE Detailed Recommendation Chart in Attachments)This gear box was found in relatively good condition, for reported to be in storage for an extended time frame. A complete tear down inspection to fully inspect sleeve bearings, rotating elements, housing, seals, accessories and instrumentation is recommended. Cleaning of internal oil passages can be made at this time. All surfaces can be fully cleaned, clearances assessed, and full preservation renewed.
